Manuel Rengifo Diaz (born 26 November 1985), better known as Mesajah, is a reggae singer and songwriter from Poland.

Career

Born and raised in Wroclaw, Poland. [1] His father comes from Peru, and his mother is Polish. [2]

His musical career began in the Polish reggae band Natural Dread Killaz, which he founded with his brother Paxon and friend Yanaz. [3] In 2008 he decided to try a solo career. His first album, called Ludzie prości, was released in September 2008. From this album comes his most popular song called Każdego dnia. The music video for this song has 22 million views on YouTube and is one of the most viewed videos of Mesajah. [4] His second album Jestem stąd was released 15 February 2012. His third album, Brudna prawda, was released 7 June 2013. In 2016 he has released fourth album, Powrót do korzeni.

The lyrics of Mesajah's songs are sometimes critical and sometimes positive opinions about world and human relations.

Queens (group) Polish girl trio

Queens is a Polish girl trio formed in February 2005 by Polish Music Agency. The group is one of the best known girl bands in Poland. After a minor success with their debut album the group started touring, but illnesses caused several shows to be cancelled. The group was then recast, with only Monika Niedek remaining from the original members. The new lineup's first single, "We Are The Queens", was finally released in early 2007, but the song didn't gain much success. A bit later, when the video was recorded, Queens did a short promotional campaign and decided to take a short break. After the break, both the whole group and the Polish Music Agency decided to remix and re-release the last single. East Clubbers have mixed the song in 5 different versions. The re-released single also includes a song "Piękne Chwile", which was the Polish-language version of "We're The Queens".

Maria Teresa Peszek is a Polish singer, songwriter and actor. She embarked on a professional acting career in the early 1990s and went on to appear in over 40 stage plays, as well as a number of feature films and television series. In 2005, Peszek released her debut album, the commercially successful and critically acclaimed Miasto mania, followed by Maria Awaria (2008) and Jezus Maria Peszek (2012) which both topped the Polish albums chart and received favourable reviews. Reggae is one of the most popular music genres in Poland. The rastafari philosophy is considered to constitute the main influence on Polish reggae. The majority of songs are sung in Polish, yet a Silesian group R.A.P. provides an important exception to both of the above, since its members clearly stated to have nothing to do with the rasta movement and sung almost exclusively in English.

Dread Beat an' Blood is an album by Poet and the Roots released in 1978 on the Front Line label. It was produced by Vivian Weathers and Linton Kwesi Johnson. The "Poet" is dub poet Johnson and "the Roots" are Dennis Bovell, Lloyd "Jah Bunny" Donaldson, Desmond Craig, Winston Curniffe, Everald Forrest, Floyd Lawson, John Varnom, Lila Weathers and Vivian Weathers. Vivian Weathers and Winston Curniffe were school friends of Johnson's. They all attended Tulse Hill Secondary School. Most of the tracks are based on poems that first appeared in Johnson's 1975 book of poetry Dread Beat an' Blood.

Oje Ken Ollivierre, popularly known as Protoje, is a contemporary reggae singer and songwriter from Jamaica. His mother is Jamaican singer Lorna Bennett, best known for her 1972 rendition of "Breakfast in Bed". His father is a former calypso singer Mike Ollivierre from the island nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He has one daughter with his wife Lindsay.

Włodzimierz Korcz Musical artist

Włodzimierz Korcz is a Polish composer, pianist, music producer and author of many popular songs. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Łódź and debuted in 1965. In 1968–1970 Korcz worked as music editor for Polskie Radio in Łódź. In 1974–1977 he was the music director at Teatr na Targówku in Warsaw.
