Meti is a town in south-western Ethiopia, located in Godere woreda of the Gambela Region. This town has a latitude and longitude of 07°14′N35°19′E / 7.233°N 35.317°E / 7.233; 35.317 , with an elevation of 1266 meters above sea level.

Ethiopia country in East Africa

Ethiopia, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, is a country in the northeastern part of Africa, popularly known as the Horn of Africa. It shares borders with Eritrea to the north, Djibouti to the northeast, and Somalia to the east, Sudan to the northwest, South Sudan to the west, and Kenya to the south. Godere is one of the woredas in the Gambela Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Mezhenger Zone, Godere is bordered on the south and east by the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region (SNNPR), and on the west by Mengesh. The largest town in Godere is Meti.

Gambela Region Regional State in Ethiopia

Gambela or Gambella, also officially known as Gambela Peoples' Region, is one of the nine ethnic divisions (kililoch) of Ethiopia. Previously known as "Region 12", its capital is Gambela. The Region is situated between the Baro and Akobo Rivers, with its western part including the Baro salient.

Meti was the base of operations for three foreign traders in the early 1930s: D. Valentis, J. Isaris, and M. Karkalemis. [1]

Based on figures from the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, Meti has an estimated total population of 5,441, of whom 2,750 are men and 2,691 are women. [2] The 1994 national census reported this town had a total population of 3,173, of whom 1,676 are men and 1,497 are women.

Agalo Mite is one of the 20 woredas in the Benishangul-Gumuz Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Kamashi Zone, it is bordered by Kamashi woreda on the southeast, the Oromia Region on the southwest, Sirba Abbay on the northwest, the Abay River on the north, and by the Didessa River on the northeast.

Gerbo is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia, named after its major town, Gerbo. Part of the nogob Zone, Gerbo is bounded on the northwest by Segeg, on the north by the Degehabur Zone, on the East by the Korahe Zone, on the south by the Gode Zone, and on the West by Dihun.

The major town in Hidabu Abote is Ejere.
