Animation career

Graves first worked at Studio AKA where he worked on commercials, title sequences, and idents from 1994 to 2009; the most famous of these is The Canterbury Tales: Knight's Tale. While working at Studio AKA, he was hired to be an assistant art director on The Big Knights from 1999 to 2000. He was then hired by The Amazing World of Gumball creator Ben Bocquelet to be the series director and a writer, executive producer, and voice actor from 2011 to 2019. They often find themselves in various shenanigans around the city, during which they interact with fellow family members—younger sister Anais, mother Nicole, and father Richard—along with an extended supporting cast of characters.

Benjamin Bocquelet is a French-British animator, writer, director and producer, best known as the creator of the Cartoon Network animated series The Amazing World of Gumball. He was also the director of a short film called The Hell's Kitchen in 2003. When Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe was created in 2007, Bocquelet was hired in order to help people pitch their projects to Cartoon Network after the dismissal of Nickelodeon and Jetix subdivisions of Europe. However, when the studio decided to have its employees all pitch their own ideas, he decided to take some of the rejected characters he had created for commercials and put them all in one series, with a school setting. Daniel Lennard, Khaki Jones, and Brian A. Miller, the Vice President of Original Series and Development at Turner Broadcasting System, liked the idea and the series was ultimately greenlit.

Lawrence "Larry" Huber is an American television producer, writer, and animator who is known for his long history as a producer at Hanna-Barbera, Ruby-Spears, and Nickelodeon. Huber began his animation career in 1969 while working on Hanna-Barbera's The Perils of Penelope Pitstop. He went on to work for Ruby-Spears for 15 years. Returning to Hanna-Barbera in 1990, Huber worked on 2 Stupid Dogs and Fish Police. He was hired by Buzz Potamkin to supervise production on Cartoon Network's World Premiere Toons in 1995.
