Michael "Mike" Bernardo (born May 28, 1964) is a Canadian actor, athlete, and coach, as well as a former champion martial artist and stuntman.
Although he found some fame through his roles in Shootfighter and its sequel, and as Turbo on WMAC Masters , he retired from acting to focus more on his chain of martial arts schools known as Bernardo Karate in London, Ontario, Canada.

A court-martial or court martial is a military court or a trial conducted in such a court. A court-martial is empowered to determine the guilt of members of the armed forces subject to military law, and, if the defendant is found guilty, to decide upon punishment. In addition, courts-martial may be used to try prisoners of war for war crimes. The Geneva Conventions require that POWs who are on trial for war crimes be subject to the same procedures as would be the holding military's own forces. Finally, courts-martial can be convened for other purposes, such as dealing with violations of martial law, and can involve civilian defendants.
Paul Kenneth Bernardo, also known as Paul Jason Teale, is a Canadian serial killer and serial rapist. He is known for initially committing a series of rapes in Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, between 1987 and 1990. He subsequently committed three murders with his then-wife Karla Homolka; among these victims was her young sister Tammy Homolka. After his capture and conviction, Bernardo was sentenced to life imprisonment and was later declared a dangerous offender, thus making it unlikely that he will ever be released from prison.

Karla Leanne Homolka, also known as Leanne Teale, is a Canadian serial killer and rapist who, with her first husband Paul Bernardo, raped and murdered at least three minors between 1990 and 1992. Homolka attracted worldwide media attention when she was convicted of manslaughter following a plea bargain to serve only twelve years in the rape-murders of two Ontario teenage girls, Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French, as well as the rape and death of her own sister, Tammy Homolka. She was never charged with sexual assault despite the evidence due to her plea bargain. Bernardo was convicted of the Mahaffy-French murders and received life imprisonment and a dangerous offender designation, the full maximum sentence allowed in Canada.
