Michael Chaves (born November 3, 1984) is an American filmmaker and visual effects artist, best known for his work on the miniseries Chase Champion [1] and the theatrical films The Curse of La Llorona , The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It , and The Nun II . [2] [3]

Career

Chaves began directing several short films including The Maiden, which won the Best Super Short Horror Film Award at Shriekfest 2016. [4] He also created the television series Chase Champion , and directed all of the episodes. [5] [6] [1]

He transitioned to feature-length filmmaking with horror films The Curse of La Llorona , [7] The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It , [3] and The Nun II , [8] all produced by James Wan. The latter two films are the seventh and eighth installments of The Conjuring Universe, respectively. He is also signed on to direct another horror film, The Reckoning, for Michael Bay, Bradley Fuller, and Andrew Form, under Platinum Dunes, with a script written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. [9]

Joseph Bishara is an American composer, music producer, and actor, best known for his work scoring films such as Insidious, 11-11-11, Dark Skies, and The Conjuring. Although his career began with the 1998 Biblical drama Joseph's Gift, he composes music for mainly horror and thriller films, and has collaborated several times with director James Wan. Projects by directors John Carpenter and Joseph Zito, and musicians Ray Manzarek and Diamanda Galás have incorporated his work. In addition to composing, he frequently appears in films he is involved in, usually made up as a demon or other supernatural creature. He has also been a producer on Repo! The Genetic Opera and other projects.
