Michael E. Kavoukjian is an American attorney and diplomat. In 2025 he was nominated to be U.S. Ambassador to Norway.

Early life and education

Kavoukjian was born and raised in Minnesota. [1] He earned his bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1990. [2] He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. [3]

Career

Kavoukjian worked as a CIA operations officer. [4]

Kavoukjian spent his entire legal career at White and Case. [5] He is a major Republican donor, including significant support for Donald Trump's campaigns. [4]

President Donald Trump officially nominated Kavoukjian to be U.S. Ambassador to Norway in March 2025. [6]
