Michael Josephson (born December 10, 1942) is a former law professor and attorney who founded the nonprofit Joseph and Edna Josephson Institute of Ethics [1] located in Los Angeles, California, out of which he operates as a speaker and lecturer on the subject of ethics. The institute is named after his parents. [2]

Josephson's daily commentary is carried on Armed Forces Radio, and was formerly carried on Los Angeles radio station KNX 1070. [3] He is also the president of the national CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition, [4] a part of the Josephson Institute of Ethics.

A graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Josephson was named its 2009 alumnus of the year. Josephson currently resides in southern California with wife Anne and his 5 children. [5]

KNX is a commercial radio station in Los Angeles, California. It airs an all-news radio format and is owned by Audacy, Inc. KNX is one of the oldest stations in the United States, having received its first broadcasting license, as KGC, in December 1921, in addition to tracing its history to the September 1920 operations of an earlier amateur station. The studios and offices—shared with KNOU, KCBS-FM, KROQ-FM, KRTH and KTWV—are located on Los Angeles' Miracle Mile.

KCBS-FM is a radio station in Los Angeles, California, serving Greater Los Angeles on 93.1 MHz and owned by Audacy, Inc. KCBS-FM airs an adult hits music format branded as "93.1 Jack FM".

The station has a colorful history, being the radio voice of Warner Bros. Studios in the early days of broadcasting, and a long-time Group W/CBS all-news radio station from 1968 to 2009. It has kept the same call sign throughout its nearly 100-year history.

CBS Columbia Square Historic radio and television studio in Los Angeles, California

CBS Columbia Square was the home of CBS's Los Angeles radio and television operations from 1938 until 2007. Located at 6121 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, the building housed the CBS Radio Network's West Coast facilities, as well as CBS's original Los Angeles radio stations, KNX and KCBS-FM. KNXT-TV, Channel 2 moved into the complex in 1960, and the CBS Television Network's West Coast operations were based there until it moved to the larger CBS Television City in November 1952. After its purchase by CBS in 2002, KCAL-TV moved to the Square from studios adjacent to CBS's corporate sibling Paramount Pictures. Between 2004 and 2007 all of these operations moved to other facilities in the Los Angeles area.

Kent Shocknek American television journalist

Kent Shocknek is an American television and film personality who branched into acting toward the end of a successful career as a TV newscaster. Because of the length of his journalism career, duration of his broadcasts, and breaking news events, by the time of his departure from news, he is credited with having logged more hours as an anchor than anyone else in Los Angeles. The city has designated two separate days "Kent Shocknek Day" in his honor. Before anchoring prime-time newscasts on CBS-TV owned stations, Shocknek was Southern California's first and longest-running television news morning news anchor. Because of his recognizability, he has been sought out to appear in more than 100 feature films and television dramas –often as a newscaster or commentator –giving rise to a popular second career that continues currently. On radio, Shocknek has narrated daily commentaries in L.A., and has hosted a nationally syndicated entertainment program. Viewers and magazine readers also recognize him as an authority on automotive issues.

Tom Hatten

Tom Hatten was an American radio, film and television personality and actor, known as the long-time host of The Popeye Show and Family Film Festival on KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles in the 1960s through the '80s. Hatten was one of those television "pioneers"—from the 1950s and 1960s programs done "live"—no matter what mistakes happened. He also appeared in dozens of musicals, movies and television shows.

KWEL Radio station in Midland, Texas

KWEL is a radio station serving the Midland-Odessa area with a news/talk format. The station airs a serving of local programs and programs provided by Premiere Networks that is all recycled garbage. The station is currently under ownership of CDA Broadcasting, Inc. KWEL's AM frequency does not air at night. It airs every day from 6am- 8 pm. The FM frequency airs 24-hours a day and is the frequency found on the internet stream.

The following radio stations broadcast on AM frequency 1070 kHz: The Federal Communications Commission classifies 1070 AM as a United States and Canadian clear-channel frequency. KNX in Los Angeles and CBA in Moncton, New Brunswick shared Class A status on this frequency. But on April 7, 2008, CBA moved to the FM dial.
