Michael Marton (born 10 January 1937) is an Israeli former sports shooter. He competed in the 50 metre pistol event at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, Mexico. He ranked at 47th place in 69 participants, with a total score of 530 points. [1]

Marton, officially Marton-in-Cleveland, is, since 1950, a dormitory suburb of Middlesbrough, in North-East England, built over a small village of the same name. Marton is within the boundaries of Middlesbrough unitary authority, which is included in North Yorkshire for ceremonial purposes. Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, the parish of Marton originally extended down to the River Tees, but with the expansion of Middlesbrough, the parish became progressively smaller. Attractions include Stewart Park, a large public park given to the people of Middlesbrough by councillor Dormund Stewart, in 1928.

Mihály Lantos, also known as Mihály Lendenmayer, was a Hungarian footballer and manager. He played as a defender, spending the majority of his career at MTK Hungária FC. During the 1950s he was also a member of the Hungary team known as the Mighty Magyars. Other members of the team included Nándor Hidegkuti, Ferenc Puskás, Zoltán Czibor, Sándor Kocsis and József Bozsik. After retiring as a player Lantos worked as coach. Between 1965 and 1967 he was assistant coach to his former MTK manager, Márton Bukovi, at Olympiacos. He then returned to Hungary where he managed several teams including Videoton FC.

Áron Márton

Áron Márton was an ethnic Hungarian Roman Catholic prelate who served as the Bishop of Alba Iulia from his appointment in late 1938 until his resignation in 1980. Márton held the title of Archbishop after he was raised to the honor despite leading a simple bishopric. He served as a prelate during a tumultuous period that included World War II and the emergence of a communist regime in Romania. He was even meant to become a cardinal but refused the honor when he learnt that another Romanian prelate would not be elevated into the cardinalate with him.

Márton Homonnai, also known as Márton Hlavacsek, was a Hungarian water polo player who won two gold and one silver medals at the 1928, 1932 and the 1936 Summer Olympics; his team finished fifth in 1924. During his career Homonnai played 115 international matches, often alongside his brother Lajos. His daughter Katalin Szőke became an Olympic swimmer.

Katalin Szőke was a Hungarian swimmer. She competed at the 1952 Olympics and won two gold medals, in the 100 m and 4 × 100 m freestyle events. Two years later she repeated that success at the 1954 European Championships. She also competed in these two events at the 1956 Olympics but without success. During her career Szőke set four world records. In 1985 she was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Márton Szivós is a Hungarian water polo player. He is part of the national team since 2003 and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He is a son of István Szívós, Jr. and a grandson of István Szívós, both of whom won Olympic gold medals in water polo.

József Marton was a Hungarian middle-distance runner. He competed in the men's 1500 metres at the 1928 Summer Olympics.
