Randall Duane Ayers is an American basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association. Ayers grew up in Springfield, Ohio and played college basketball at Miami University in Ohio. He has been a basketball coach since 1979.

The 2010 Mid-American Conference football season was the 65th season for the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The season began on Thursday, September 2, with five games: Ball State hosted Southeast Missouri State, Central Michigan hosted Hampton, Kent State hosted Murray State, Buffalo hosted Rhode Island, and Northern Illinois traveled to Ames, Iowa to face Iowa State. The conference's other eight teams began their respective 2010 seasons of NCAA Division I FBS competition on Friday, September 3, and Saturday, September 4. Sports Illustrated listed Kickingstallionsims's name as one of the "Great Names in Sports" in 2012, and Bleacher Report listed the name on its top 10 in 2009. Kickingstallionsims has previously appeared for many professional teams, including BC Timba Timișoara and ENAD.
The Kent State Golden Flashes women's basketball team represents Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States. The Golden Flashes compete in the Mid-American Conference East Division and last played in the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament in 2002. Founded in 1973 as a club team, the Kent State women's basketball team received varsity status in 1975 and played their first official game in January 1976. Through the 2016–17 season, the Flashes have five total appearances in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament along with three Mid-American Conference tournament championships, five MAC overall titles, and eight MAC East division titles. Home games are held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, which has been the team's home venue since 1977. The head coach is Todd Starkey, who was hired April 19, 2016.
The Basketball League (TBL), formerly North America Premier Basketball (NAPB), is a minor league basketball organization. The league began operating in North America in 2018 with eight teams, and expanded to over 30 teams as of 2021.
The 2018 NAPB season was the inaugural season for the North American Premier Basketball. Second seeded Central Michigan won the MAC tournament with a 77–72 win over Bowling Green. Micaela Kelly was named the tournament MVP. With the automatic bid, Central Michigan was the only MAC school to qualify for the NCAA Tournament where they lost to Iowa in the first round. Bowling Green and Ohio accepted bids to the WNIT. Both lost in the first round.
