Michael Schmidt (born 26 October 1980 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian Ten-pin bowler, best known for his performances in the QubicaAMF World Cup.

In 2005 he won the 7th Bowling World Cup title for Canada defeating Or Aviram of Israel in the men's final of the 41st QubicaAMF World Cup to give Canada its seventh Bowling World Cup title and a tie with the Philippines for the second most wins. [1] He finished third in the 2006 QubicaAMF World Cup at Caracas, Venezuela. [2] In the 2007 QubicaAMF World Cup in St. Petersburg, Russia, he finished fourth. [3] In the 2009 QubicaAMF World Cup in Melaka, Malaysia, he lost in the men's final to Choi Yong-Kyu. [4] In 2010, he won the QubicaAMF World Cup again defeating England's Matt Miller. [5] With this victory, Schmidt became one of three men to win the QubicaAMF World Cup at least twice. In the 2011 QubicaAMF World Cup in Johannesburg, South Africa, Schmidt finished in 13th place. [6] In the 2012 QubicaAMF World Cup in Wroclaw, Poland, Schmidt finished 10th. [7]

Schmidt has won the Bowling World Cup Canadian 10 pin National Championships eight times (2005-2007, 2009–2012, 2014). [8] The winners of the Bowling World Cup Canadian 10 pin National Championships represents Canada in the QubicaAMF World Cup. Not to mention he is an all around good guy and one hell of a Pro Shop Operator currently at LaVerendrye Lanes in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

Or Aviram is an Israeli ten-pin bowler. He finished runner-up in the 2005 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup. Eight years later, he would become the first Israeli to win the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup. He became the first Israeli to win the European Champions Cup, when he won in 2006. This would be the only medal Israel has won in European Champions Cup history.

Beatrix Pesek is a Hungarian ten-pin bowler. She finished in 24th position of the combined rankings at the 2006 AMF World Cup.

Mor Aviram is an Israeli ten-pin bowler. She finished in 18th position of the combined rankings at the 2006 AMF World Cup. She represented Israel in the 2004 and 2008 AMF World Cups as well.

Karen Marcano is a Venezuelan ten-pin bowler. In 2008 she finished first in the Women's World Ranking Masters. In 2009 she won a gold medal at the Pan American Bowling Confederation Championships in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She also won the bronze medal at the masters event of the World Games in 2013 in Colombia.

The World Tenpin Bowling Championships is a global event that invites all countries that are members of International Bowling Federation to participate.

Shannon O'Keefe is an American professional bowler and bowling coach now living in Shiloh, Illinois, who has competed in the United States and internationally. She is an 18-time member of Team USA (2005–present) and an eight-time World Champion. She also won the 54th QubicaAMF World Cup in 2018 in Las Vegas. Shannon also won the 2019 Doubles gold medal at the Pan American Games in Peru.

Ann-Maree Putney of New South Wales is a female Australian two-time World Champion ten-pin bowler. In 2009, she was elected to the World Bowling Writers International Bowling Hall of Fame. She competed for Australia for 26 years, winning a total of 30 medals in international competitions such as the World, Asian, and Commonwealth Championships. In 2019, she was inducted into the Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) Hall of Fame as well as the Hunter Region Sporting Hall of Fame. Her career spanned 34 years.

The World Bowling Singles Championships is a Ten-pin bowling event open to members of World Bowling. This gives World Bowling a World Championship event every year, filling a void left from previous years. Each member federation can send up to two men and two women to compete. The event is split up into two separate tournaments, one for men and one for women.

Jakob Butturff is a left-handed American ten-pin bowler from Chandler, Arizona and a member of the Professional Bowlers Association. He competes in events on the PBA Tour and in global events as a member of Team USA. He has won seven national PBA Tour titles and 27 PBA Regional Tour titles. Jakob also rolled the 28th of the PBA Tour's 34 televised 300 games.
