Michael Schmidt is a wardrobing, jewelry and interior designer working primarily in the entertainment industry. He is known for working with a variety of innovative materials and techniques, such as a 3-D printed dress he created for Dita Von Teese. [1] [2] [3] His clothing has been worn by celebrities such as Madonna, Cher, and the Black Eyed Peas.

In 1991 Schmidt received an Emmy nomination for his costume design in Cher... At the Mirage . [4] His work has been exhibited at several museums such as the Pasadena Museum of California Art and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Career

Schmidt had an early interest in wardrobe design and one of his early designs, a handmade chainmail dress, appeared on the cover of a New York magazine, Details Magazine. [5] He has worked on various projects such as a knotted rope curtain construction for the lobby of the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, California. [6] Since 2001 he has collaborated with the international luxury goods firm Chrome Hearts and has also had an ongoing on-going collaborative relationship with designer Jeremy Scott. [7] In 2012 he launched a jewelry collection through his studio Michael Schmidt Studios. [8]

Nolan Bertrandoff Miller was an American fashion and jewelry designer on QVC and a television costume designer best known for his work on the long-running 1980s series Dynasty, its spin-off series The Colbys and the 1991 miniseries Dynasty: The Reunion. He collaborated on many projects with television producers Aaron Spelling and Douglas S. Cramer, including Charlie's Angels, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Hotel, Hart to Hart, and Vega$.

Zaldy Goco, also known mononymously as Zaldy, is a Filipino-American fashion designer. In 1995, he was featured as a model in a British television advertisement for Levi's. Zaldy was named one of Out magazine's Out 100 in 2006. He was the costume designer for Michael Jackson's This Is It tour, Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour, and Britney Spears's Femme Fatale Tour. She is known for her work on season 1 of FOX's musical drama series Empire. In July 2015, McGhee's costume design on episode 8, "The Lyon's Roar", was nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Costumes for a Contemporary Series, Limited Series, or Movie. The following year, in January 2016, her costume design for the season was nominated for the Costume Designers Guild Award for Outstanding Contemporary Costumes for a Television Series.
