Michael Springer (born August 4, 1979) is a lacrosse player and coach who played for the Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse. Springer was a four-time All-American playing for the Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team. He now coaches varsity lacrosse at Don Bosco Preparatory High School.

Springer was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He was a two-time All-American at Ridgewood High School. [1]

Major League Lacrosse

Springer was drafted by the Philadelphia Barrage in 2003. He made an immediate impact with the team netting 20 goals as a rookie and continued to contribute to the team. In 2006, he was awarded with Offensive Player of the Week in Week Five of the season. In addition, Springer has helped the Barrage to win three Steinfeld Cup championships in 2004, 2006, and 2007. Tony Resch is a retired lacrosse player, and current field and box lacrosse coach. He is the former head coach of the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League from 1994 to 2001, and led the Wings to four Championships. Resch was named to the NLL Hall of Fame in 2008. Resch returned to coaching as the head coach of the Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse. Resch graduated from Yale University, where he was a two-time All-American and three-time First Team All-Ivy League player.

Dave Pietramala is the defensive coordinator for the University of North Carolina men's lacrosse team and the former head coach for the Johns Hopkins University Men's Lacrosse team. He also served as the DC for the Syracuse University Men's Lacrosse team. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensemen in lacrosse history, and is a member of the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He is the only person to win a men's lacrosse NCAA national championship as both a player and coach, and the only person to be named both player and coach of the year.

Ian Dingman is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a lacrosse player.

Regy Thorpe is a former professional lacrosse player for the Rochester Knighthawks in the National Lacrosse League. He played his entire NLL career with the Knighthawks. He also played with the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse. Currently, Thorpe is the head coach for the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse.

Matt Striebel is a former professional lacrosse midfielder who played professional field lacrosse in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) for the New York Lizards and formerly played professional box lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). He starred as a member of the Princeton Tigers men's lacrosse team from 1998 through 2001 and the Princeton Tigers men's soccer team from 1997 through 2000.

Brett Moyer of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania is a retired professional lacrosse player who played for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League, and the Philadelphia Barrage in the Major League Lacrosse. Moyer was a three-time All American at Hofstra University. Moyer is currently the head varsity lacrosse coach at IMG Academy.

The Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team represents Syracuse University in NCAA Division I men's college lacrosse. The Orange have won 15 national championship titles and currently compete as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference men's lacrosse conference. Syracuse plays its home games at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York.

Gregory Robert Peyser is an American professional lacrosse player with the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse. Peyser also played with the Orlando Titans and New York Titans of the National Lacrosse League. He played collegiate lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University. He plays midfield and is known as a face-off specialist.

Kevin Huntley is a professional lacrosse player with the Toronto Nationals of Major League Lacrosse and the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He plays the attack position. Huntley played collegiate lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University where he helped his team win two national championships, and finished his college career as the eighth all-time leading goal scorer in Johns Hopkins history. His father, Dave Huntley, was also an All-American at Johns Hopkins. In 2008, Huntley was named Major League Lacrosse Rookie of the Year.

Doug Shanahan is a lacrosse coach and player. He has been inducted into four Halls of Fame and has won a number of other trophies and accolades. He was twice a member of Team USA, and also won MVP of the world games. He attended Hofstra University, playing both football and lacrosse in college.

William J. "B. J." Prager is a retired professional lacrosse attackman who played professional field lacrosse in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL). He starred as a member of the Princeton Tigers men's lacrosse team from 1999 through 2002, where he was Ivy League rookie of the year, a three-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American, a four-time All-Ivy League selection, a team captain and an NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player of a national champion team. For over a decade, he held the freshman goal scoring record at Princeton.
