Michael Strine has spent over two decades in COO and CFO roles across the government, education, health and financial services sector, applying his knowledge and experience toward making complex organizations better at what they do for who they serve.

Career

Most recently, he served for over five years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as COO and First Vice President from 2015-2021. This position made him an alternate voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee. He joined the New York Federal Reserve as Executive Vice President, CFO, and head of the Corporate Group in 2013.

Strine began his career as a professor, doing teaching and research on the intersection of law, policy, politics and organization at the University of Denver and the University of Colorado-Boulder. He then served two governors of Delaware as chief of policy and operations (a position now known as Deputy Secretary) in the Department of Finance for the State of Delaware. After that, he became Chief Financial Officer for New Castle County, a county with over half a million residents, from 2005 to 2008. [1] [2] Strine returned to his alma mater, Johns Hopkins, in 2008, rising to become Vice President for Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the University, while also serving in numerous directors roles for the joint LLCs of the university and health system. Strine left Hopkins to accept to join University of Virginia as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer [1] In that role, his portfolio included finance, operations, compliance and audit, real estate, public safety and emergency preparedness for both the University and the UVA Health System. In this role, he also served on the boards of the University of Virginia Investment Management Company (UVIMCO), the Medical Center Operating Board, the Board of the UVA Foundation, among other directors' roles.

Education

Strine earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in [[political science with an emphasis on public law and organizations] from Johns Hopkins University after completing his undergraduate degree magna cum laude at the University of Delaware.

William Poole (economist)

William Poole was the eleventh chief executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He took office on March 23, 1998 and began serving his full term on March 1, 2001. In 2007, he served as a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee, bringing his District's perspective to policy discussions in Washington. Poole stepped down from the Fed on March 31, 2008.

Elizabeth Ashburn Duke

Melody Barnes American lawyer and political advisor

Melody C. Barnes is an American lawyer and political advisor. Formerly an aide and chief counsel to Senator Edward M. Kennedy on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Barnes later worked at the Center for American Progress, a think tank, before joining Senator Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. After Obama took office as president, Barnes was appointed director of the Domestic Policy Council, serving in that post from January 2009 to January 2012. Thomas I. Barkin is an American central banker, who became the eighth president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond on January 1, 2018. He worked at global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company for 30 years in increasingly senior positions, including as global chief financial officer (CFO) and chief risk officer, with oversight of finance, legal and information technology functions, among others. He also served on the executive committee of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Emory University Board of Trustees member, and former board member and chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

Thomas C. Naratil is an American business executive in the financial industry. After serving as president of both UBS Wealth Management Americas and UBS Americas since early 2016, Naratil was appointed CEO of UBS Americas Holding LLC and became co-president of Global Wealth Management of UBS Group AG and UBS AG in early 2018. Naratil started his career in finance in 1983 when he joined the brokerage firm Paine Webber Jackson & Curtis. David Gibbs became the CEO of Yum! Brands Inc. on January 1, 2020. Albert Bourla is a Greek veterinarian and the chairman and chief executive officer of Pfizer, an American pharmaceutical company. He joined the company in 1993 and has held several executive roles across Pfizer's divisions. Prior to becoming chief executive officer, Bourla served as chief operating officer.
