Michele Ferrarin (born 11 August 1971) [2] is an Italian paratriathlete and swimmer. [3] Born in Verona, [2] he represented Italy at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and he won the silver medal in the men's PT2 event. [3] [4] He also represented Italy at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom in swimming without winning a medal. [3]

Joseph Townsend is a British paratriathlete who competes in the PTWC classification. Townsend has won European and world medals as well as becoming Commonwealth Champion in 2018. He represented Great Britain at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, where he finished sixth. Townsend has won the GBR Paratriathlon National Championships for four consecutive years- 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. He lost both legs whilst serving in Afghanistan, after stepping on an IED in 2008.
