Barbro Martinsson is a former Swedish cross-country skier who competed during the 1960s. Born in Valbo, she won two silver medals in the 3 × 5 km relay at the 1964 Winter Olympics and the 1968 Winter Olympics. Martinsson finished fourth in the 1968 Winter Olympics in both 5 km and 10 km.
Bror Sture Ragnvald Grahn was a Swedish cross-country skier. He finished tenth in the 50 km event at the 1956 Winter Olympics and won gold medals in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1958 and 1962 World Championships. His wife Barbro Martinsson also competed in cross-country skiing at the 1956 Olympics. Grahn died on 14 August 2024, at the age of 92.

Prior to becoming a full-time writer, Larsson was a tax lawyer, a profession she shares with the heroine of her novels, Rebecka Martinsson. Her first Rebecka Martinsson novel, Solstorm, was awarded the Swedish Crime Writers' Academy prize for best first novel. It was published in the UK and was shortlisted for the Duncan Lawrie International Dagger. Her second Rebecka Martinsson novel, Det blod som spillts, won the Best Swedish Crime Novel Award. Till offer åt Molok, her fifth Rebecka Martinsson novel also won the Best Swedish Crime Novel Award. The sixth and final part, Fädernas misgärningar, was published in autumn 2021 and was also awarded the prize for the Best Swedish Crime Novel of the year.

The FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup is an annual freestyle skiing competition arranged by the International Ski Federation since 1980. Currently six disciplines are included in world cup: moguls, aerials, ski cross, halfpipe, slopestyle and big air. He is a ten-time FIS Freestyle World Cup title-holder for overall moguls and nine-time title-holder for overall freestyle, owning the records for most men's Moguls World Cup titles and Overall Freestyle World Cup titles. He also owns the records for career World Cup moguls victories with 78, and consecutive Freestyle World Cup event wins with 13. He is the first man to have won both the moguls and dual moguls World Championship events, and has won the most medals at the Freestyle World Championships of any male competitor in history, having won a medal in 13 of the 14 events he has competed in. Kingsbury won the Olympic silver medal in 2014 and 2022, and, at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, he won the gold medal in men's moguls.
