Michael Lewis (born August 15, 1984) is an American former professional football defensive end who played in the Arena Football League (AFL). He was signed by the Albany Conquest as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Adrian College. [1]
Lewis starred for the Adrian College Bulldogs football team for four years. He originally went to Adrian to be a running back, but after a position switch, he posted the three best sack seasons by a Bulldog and owns the Adrian record for sacks in a single game (4). His 40.0 career sacks and 61.0 tackles for loss are career records. [2] As a senior in 2005, Lewis was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive MVP. [3]
Lewis' first year out of college he played semi-pro football before receiving an offer to join the Albany Conquest of Arena Football 2. [4] After two seasons with the Conquest, Lewis joined the Peoria Pirates for the 2009 season. [5]
Lewis moved up to Arena Football 1 with the af2 folded, joining the Iowa Barnstormers.
Lewis moved out west and joined the Utah Blaze in 2011. His sack total earned him 5th place in the league, and earned him a Second Team All-Arena selection. [6] He returned to the Blaze in 2012.
Lewis returned to the Barnstormers in 2013, reuniting him with head coach Mike Hohensee, whom had coached him in Peoria. Lewis continued his great sacking ability, moving up the AFL record books for career sacks. [7]
Lewis joined the Las Vegas Outlaws in 2015. [8]
On October 16, 2015, Lewis was assigned to the Orlando Predators.
On May 24, 2016, Lewis was traded to the Los Angeles KISS for Logan Harrell and John Martinez. [9]
The AF2 was the Arena Football League's developmental league; it was founded in 1999 and played its first season in 2000. Like its parent AFL, the AF2 played using the same arena football rules and style of play. League seasons ran from April through July with the postseason and ArenaCup championship in August. The AF2 continued to operate while the AFL suspended operations for its 2009 season. The league was effectively disbanded in September 2009 when no team committed to playing in 2010, but several of the stronger franchises transferred into the reconstituted AFL.

The Iowa Barnstormers are a professional indoor football team based in Des Moines, Iowa. They are currently members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). They play their home games at Wells Fargo Arena, known in indoor football circles as "The Well".
Kyle Moore-Brown is a former Arena Football League (AFL) offensive lineman/defensive lineman for the Albany/Indiana Firebirds and the Colorado Crush. He is currently the offensive line coach for the Vegas Knight Hawks of the Indoor Football League (IFL). He was the head coach of the Cedar Rapids Titans of the IFL.

Michael Louis Hohensee is a former professional football quarterback who played in the United States Football League (USFL), Canadian Football League (CFL), National Football League (NFL) and Arena Football League (AFL). He most recently the head coach of the AFL's Portland Thunder. He played college football at the University of Minnesota, and was in the AFL for two seasons, from 1987 to 1988. Hohensee has been a head coach since 1990, beginning at the Washington Commandos. He has served as head coach of eight different arena football franchises, winning ArenaBowl XX with the Chicago Rush in 2006.

Hernandez James "Hunkie" Cooper is an American former football player who was a wide receiver and linebacker for the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League until his retirement in 2005.
