Mike Mitchell is a former Ohio Representative who represented the 26th District,based out of Columbus,Ohio.

The 1998 Ohio gubernatorial election was held on November 3,1998. Incumbent Republican Governor of Ohio George Voinovich could not seek a third term as Governor due to term limits,and ran for the United States Senate instead. To replace him,former Attorney General of Ohio Lee Fisher and Ohio Secretary of State Bob Taft won the Democratic and Republican primaries,respectively. Taft and Fisher faced off in a highly competitive general election,and in the end,Taft beat out Fisher by a narrow margin,making this gubernatorial election one of Ohio's closest.

This was one of ten Democratic-held Senate seats up for election in a state won by Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. Renacci conceded defeat on November 7,2018.

Incumbent Republican governor Mike DeWine won re-election to a second term in a landslide,defeating Democratic nominee Nan Whaley,the former mayor of Dayton,with 62.4% of the vote. DeWine's 25-point victory marked the continuation of a trend in which every incumbent Republican governor of Ohio since 1994 has won re-election by a double-digit margin.

Rogers to the position,but she announced she would not run to complete the rest of Marc's term. On June 11,2008,Ohio State Treasurer Richard Cordray announced his candidacy for the election. He was challenged in the general election by former United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio Michael Crites. Cordray won in a landslide winning 56% of the vote to Crites' 38%.

Incumbent Republican Attorney General and former 2-term United States Senator Mike DeWine was challenged by former member of the Hamilton County,Ohio Board of Commissioners and candidate for Auditor in 2010 David Pepper. DeWine won in a landslide winning 61% of the vote to Pepper's 38%,a 23-point margin of victory.
