The Mike Richter Award is an annual award given to the goaltender voted to be the most outstanding in Division I NCAA men's ice hockey during the regular season. The award is named in honor of former Wisconsin goaltender Mike Richter.

Contents

The inaugural winner was announced at the 2014 Frozen Four tournament held April 10–12, 2014 in Philadelphia. [2]

As of 2024, Devon Levi is the first goaltender to win the award multiple times, as well as in consecutive years.

Michael Thomas Richter is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played his entire National Hockey League career, from 1989 to 2002, with the New York Rangers organization, and led the team to the Stanley Cup in 1994. Richter was named to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, alongside his former Rangers and U.S. teammate Brian Leetch, in 2008.

Adam Wilcox is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. He was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 6th round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Wilcox is cousins with former Minnesota Wild goaltender, Alex Stalock. Both Wilcox and Stalock played goaltender for the same high school, South St. Paul.

Thatcher Douglas Demko is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Demko was selected by the Canucks in the second round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

The 2015–16 Boston College Eagles men's ice hockey team represented Boston College in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season. The team was coached by Jerry York, '67, his twenty-second season behind the bench at Boston College. The Eagles played their home games at Kelley Rink on the campus of Boston College, competing in Hockey East.
