Milan Bhayana (born September 27, 2005) is an American chef, internet personality and Magic: The Gathering Player. He was a competitor on Top Chef Family Style. [1] As of May 2023, he has over 1 million followers across his social media accounts.
Bhayana is the youngest player to qualify for the Magic Online Championship, and one of the youngest to qualify for the Pro Tour.
Bhayana was born in Washington, DC. He is of Indian descent. He attends Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. [2]
Bhayana began posting cooking videos on TikTok on Thanksgiving Day, 2020, narrated by his sister, Malaika. [2] [3] By November 2021, he had accumulated 700,000 followers on the app. [2] [3] He learned how to cook from watching YouTube videos. [3]
In 2021, Bhayana was announced as a competitor on Top Chef Family Style. [4] He competed alongside his mother, Chandrani Ghosh. Bhayana won the quickfire challenge in episode two, “Truffles, Caviar, and Prawns -- Oh My!”. [5] He was eliminated in episode six by celebrity judge Jojo Siwa.
Milan Bhayana qualified for Pro Tour Barcelona at 13, as the youngest player in the event. [6] He has had widespread success on Magic Online, ranking #3 on the leaderboard in Season One of 2021, #2 in Season Two, and #1 overall in 2021.
The World Pizza Championship is an event held annually for three days in April since 1991 in Salsomaggiore Terme (Parma), Italy, although several other cities likewise claim to be the home of the ultimate international pizza games including Naples and Paris. Organized by Pizza E Pasta Italiana magazine, the 30th edition of the competition was held from April 18-20, 2023. More than 700 chefs from 52 countries compete in 12 categories. The World Pizza Championship includes six categories in the baking competition, three categories in the pizza game competition, the pizza team award, the Heinz Beck trophy awarded to pizzeria chefs, and the triathlon award given for the highest average score in 3 separate categories. All culinary scores are figured from 800 as perfect, with each contestant rated by cooking prowess, sanitation, presentation, taste, and knowledge of the pizza. It is the largest pizza show in the world with over 6,500 independent chain and franchise owners from all around the world attending. The winners are inducted into their Hall of Fame and are sometimes invited back to judge the next World Pizza Championship.
