Milan Chams (born 20 March 1980) is a director of Nepali films. He is best known for the films Bir Bikram [1] [2] [3] and Lily Bily which have received a number of awards. Other films he directed include Bir Bikram 2. [4]
Chams caused an uproar when he filed charges against stand-up comedian Pranesh Gautam after the latter gave a satirical review of Bir Bikram 2. His critics accused him of bullying and harassing movie critics upon getting negative reviews. [5]
Bir Bikram 2 was widely panned by the critics. It was criticized for its sexist overtones and also accused of plagiarizing scenes from 'Sholay', a hit Bollywood film from the 70's. [6]

Produced by Malvika Subba for Eyecore Films Nepal and A Tiny But Big Pictures, the film stars Dayahang Rai, Priyanka Karki, Keki Adhikari, Anoop Bikram Shahi and Nisha Adhikari. After the film's first week of screening in the Kathmandu valley, it was reported to have netted Nrs 30 lakh during that debut week.

Captain is a 2019 Nepalese sports drama film directed by Diwakar Bhattarai, written by Samipya Raj Timalsena, Diwakar Bhattarai, Sagar Kharel, Brajesh Khanal and produced by Bhuwan K.C. and Jiya K.C. under the banner of Super Kajal Films. It stars Anmol K.C., with Sunil Thapa, Saroj Khanal, Wilson Bikram Rai, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Priyanka Mv, and Prashant Tamrakar. The film, which follows a teenager who struggles to follow his father's footsteps in football, was filmed across Jhapa and Ilam. It was released in Nepal on 1 March 2019. It received largely unfavourable reviews from critics for its storyline, visual special effects, and lead performances, and a mixed response from audiences. It grossed below average at the box office and ended its run after its second weekend.

The film stars Paul Shah, Barsha Siwakoti, Najir Hussain, Buddhi Tamang, and Desh Bhakta Khanal. Bir Bikram 2 is a sequel to the 2016 film Bir Bikram, and received mixed reviews from the critics but met with positive response from audience. The film was success in single screens but had a poor run in multiplexes giving it a box office verdict of Below Average.
Pradip Bhattarai is a Nepalese screenwriter and film director. He made his directorial debut in 2016 with the film Jatra. It was a heist-comedy film which was produced by Singe Lama and Yadav Poudel under the banner of Shatkon Arts. The film was commercially successful. Since then he directed two other films, Shatru Gate in 2018, and Jatrai Jatra in 2019, both of which were commercially successful. Bhattarai is also one of the judges of the first Nepali comedy-reality TV show Comedy Champion.
Dayahang Rai is a Nepali actor who made his debut in the 2009 romantic comedy film Mero Euta Saathi Chha. The same year, Rai appeared in the mystery Dasdhunga, in which he portrays the suspected killer of Madan Bhandari, leader of the Communist Party of Nepal; this performance garnered the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2012, his breakthrough role came in Loot, in which he starred as Gofle, who with his four friends sets out to rob a bank in Kathmandu. Rai's performance was praised and the film was a commercial success. He then starred in Deepak Rauniyar's drama Highway (2012). In 2013, he appeared in Badhshala, a film about the Nepalese Civil War and the human rights abuses committed by the Nepali Army. This film was later banned in Nepal by the military and criticised for empathising with Maoists.
