Mildred Nelisiwe Oliphant (born 22 March 1959), [1] formerly known as Mildred Buthelezi,was South Africa's Minister of Labour from October 2010 to May 2019. [2] She left Parliament after the 2019 general election. [3]

Labour brokering is a South African term for a form outsourcing practiced in which companies contract labour brokers to provide them with casual labour. Labour brokers are different from recruitment agencies in that labour brokers handle almost all aspects of the worker's employment,whereas recruitment agencies are only responsible for sourcing candidates for employment. In essence,rather than a company hiring a worker,it hires a labour broker who hires the worker in its stead. Langalakhe Nicholas "Senzo" Mkhize was a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly and KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature. Formerly an activist in the ANC Youth League,he served in the National Assembly from 2009 until 2010,when he was transferred to the provincial legislature. He remained in the provincial legislature until his death in 2016 and was its Chief Whip from 2014 onwards. At the time of his death,he was also a member of the Provincial Executive Committee of the ANC's KwaZulu-Natal branch.
