The Milwaukee Bar Association is a 501(c)6 professional non-profit organization created to support legal professionals and to help provide access to justice. The MBA is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The Milwaukee Bar Association was founded in 1858 with 30 charter members. It is the fifth oldest bar association in the United States. Today the Milwaukee Bar Association has over 2,000 members.

Don Alonzo Joshua Upham was an American lawyer, Democratic politician, and Wisconsin pioneer. He served as the 4th Mayor of Milwaukee and was the Democratic nominee for Governor of Wisconsin in the 1851 election. He also served as President of the first Wisconsin Constitutional Convention and was United States Attorney for Wisconsin during the presidency of James Buchanan. His name was often abbreviated as D. A. J. Upham in historical documents.

The Multnomah Bar Association (MBA) is a voluntary bar association located in Portland, Oregon. The organization is also sometimes referred to as the Multnomah County Bar Association. Although named after Multnomah County membership in the association is open to all lawyers in the State of Oregon. The present MBA was founded in 1906. There was an earlier group of attorneys, also called the Multnomah Bar Association, which appears to have dissolved some time in the early 1900s.
