Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri is a Zimbabwean politician, who is the current Minister of Defence in the Cabinet of Zimbabwe. She has also served as Minister of Higher Education and Minister of Women's Affairs. Muchinguri ran as the ZANU-PF candidate for Mutasa Central constituency in the March 2008 parliamentary election, but was defeated by Trevor Saruwaka, a candidate of the Movement for Democratic Change – Tsvangirai. According to official results, Muchinguri received 4,764 votes against 9,228 votes for Saruwaka.

Arrupe Jesuit University (AJU) is a fully accredited private international and multicultural university. The Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE), under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science, Technology and Development, granted provisional accreditation on December 7, 2017. On February 24, 2018, the President of the Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar (JCAM), Fr. A. E Orobator, SJ, inaugurated the new university. On December 3, 2018, ZIMCHE granted full accreditation. Arrupe Jesuit University was formerly called Arrupe College Jesuit School of Philosophy and Humanities, founded in 1994. It is owned in trust by the Jesuits of Zimbabwe and Mozambique for (JCAM).
