Mir Afzal Khan (born 1923) is a Pakistani politician from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. He served as the 16th Chief Minister of the province from 7 August,1990 to 19 July 1993. [1] [2] [3]
Afzal Khan was born to a wealthy family of landlords in Mardan,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the home of Sarfaraz Khan, [4] who was well known politician from Mardan in then NWFP now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He was the brother of Begum Zari Sarfaraz,who was a politician and social worker. [5] [6]
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,formerly known as North West Frontier Province (NWFP),is a province of Pakistan. Iqbal Khan Jadoon (1931–1977) was a Pakistani politician from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. He was born in Abbottabad in 1931. Jadoon was the 7th elected Chief Minister of the province from the 9 April 1977 to 5 July 1977. He died in 1977. His wife survived him and died in Abbottabad in 2019.
Lieutenant General Fazle HaqHI(M) SBt,was a high-ranking general in the Pakistan Army,and the former martial law administrator (MLA) of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Nawabzada Abdul Ghafoor Khan Hoti (1923–1998) was a former governor of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Belonging to Mardan,he was the son of Nawab Akbar Khan Hoti and father of Inspector General of KPK Police Nawabzada Muhammad Akbar Khan Hoti.
Ameer Haider Khan Hoti is a Pakistani Pashtun politician who was the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2008 to 2013. General elections were held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday,25 July 2018 to elect the 51 members of 15th National Assembly from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) obtained a landslide victory in the province by winning 37 general seats and increased their margin of victory from 2013. The PTI also won 8 out of 10 reserved seats while the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) won 1 reserved seat each.
