Mira were an American five-piece dream pop/shoegaze band from Tallahassee, Florida, United States, formed in 1996.
Mira was formed by vocalist Regina Sosinski, guitarist Tom Parker, bassist Sam Riles and drummer Alan Donaldson. Originally called Still, they were influenced by shoegaze bands such as Slowdive and Cocteau Twins. [1]
After releasing several EPs on their own Tesseract label, the band signed to Projekt Records, and their song "Cayman" appeared on Projekt's cat-themed 1999 compilation A Cat-Shaped Hole in My Heart.
Max Fresen replaced Riles, and the band added guitarist Mark Davidson.
Mira released their eponymous debut studio album on April 4, 2000. [2]
For second album Apart, Melody Fleck replaced Fresen on bass, and the band toured the US. [3]
In 2002, they collaborated on a self-released split single with Cream Abdul Babar, covering each other's songs.
Following 2005's There I Go Daydreamer, the band ceased activity and members moved on to other musical projects. [4]
In 2011, Projekt released a compilation of rare and early Mira recordings, titled The Echo Lingers On (Demos, Outtakes and Rehearsals). [5]
Sosinski later formed Warm Orange with Paul Burdack. [6]
Donaldson formed Florida shoegaze band Fantome, [7] later succeeded by Book of the Chow Chow. [8] He also played in Kid Hart. [9]
Davidson played in Welcome to Nagaland [10] and Done Beginner.

Alcest is a French post-black metal band from Bagnols-sur-Cèze, founded and led by Neige. It began in 2000 as a black metal solo project by Neige, then became a trio, but members Aegnor and Argoth left the band following the 2001 release of their first demo, leaving Neige as the sole member. In 2009, drummer Winterhalter from Les Discrets joined Alcest, after eight years with Neige as its sole full-time member.

He is one of the most representative musicians in the shoegaze scene, which has emerged as a new trend in the South Korean indie music scene since 2021.
Panchiko is a British indie rock band originating from Nottingham, England. Formed sometime between 1997 and 1998, it originally consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Owain Davies, guitarist/keyboardist Andrew "Andy" Wright, bassist Shaun Ferreday, and a drummer named John. A year after the revival of Panchiko in 2020, the band was joined by two new members, guitarist Robert "Rob" Harris and John Schofield, who replaced their original drummer.
