Mircea Zamfir (born 29 May 1985 in Bucharest, Romania) is a Romanian aerobic gymnast. [1] He won six world championships medals (three gold, two silver and one bronze) and seven European championships medals (six gold and one bronze). He is also the individual 2007 European champion. [2]
The Artistic Gymnastics World Championships are the world championships for artistic gymnastics governed by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). The first edition of the championships was held in 1903, exclusively for male gymnasts. Since the tenth edition of the tournament, in 1934, women's events are held together with men's events.
Daniela Mărănducă Nicolai is a retired artistic and aerobic gymnast. During her career she won nine medals at the World and European championships. She is currently a coach of the Romanian junior national artistic gymnastics team.
Izabela Daniela Lăcătuş is a retired Romanian artistic and aerobic gymnast. She was an alternate to the artistic gymnastics team at the 1992 Olympics. After retiring from artistic gymnastics she had a career in aerobic gymnastics, winning 16 world and continental medals including the 2000 individual world title.
Claudiu Cristian Moldovan is a retired Romanian aerobic gymnast. He had a successful career winning seven world championships medals and two European championships medals. After retiring from aerobic gymnastics, he has been a coach for the junior national women's artistic gymnastics team. Among many gymnasts, he coached young Diana Chelaru, Larisa Iordache and Diana Bulimar.
Remus Nicolai is a retired Romanian aerobic gymnast. He had a successful career winning six world championships medals and five European championships medals. After retiring from aerobic gymnastics he opened together with his wife a private gymnastics club in Constanţa. As of 2013 he trains, together with his wife, the junior artistic women's National Team of Romania at the National Olympic Center in Onesti.
Claudiu Varlam is a retired Romanian aerobic gymnast. He had a successful career winning five world championships medals. After retiring from aerobic gymnastics he became a coach of the Romanian national aerobic gymnastics team.
