Miri O'Donnell (born August 1, 2006) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Portuguese Campeonato Nacional Feminino club Sporting CP.

Club career

Early life

Growing up in San Ramon, California, O'Donnell played youth soccer for teams including Mustang FC, FC Bay Area Surf, and MVLA Soccer Club. [1] [2] She played for San Francisco Glens in the pre-professional USL W League in 2023, scoring four goals in four games. [3]

Sporting CP

O'Donnell signed her first professional contract on August 14, 2024, joining Portuguese club Sporting CP on a three-year deal. [4] She had previously committed to play college soccer at Wake Forest. [5] She scored her first professional goal in the Campeonato Nacional Feminino on November 16, scoring the last goal in an 8–0 rout of Albergaria. [6]

International career

O'Donnell was an alternate to the United States under-17 team that won bronze at the 2023 Pan American Games. [1]

Personal life

O'Donnell is partly of Japanese descent. [4]
