Misery Loves Co. is the debut and self-titled album by Misery Loves Co. It was nominated for a Grammi at the Swedish Grammis awards in 1995 and was also listed as one of the 100 greatest rock albums of all times in Kerrang (1996). A music video was made for the opening track "My Mind Still Speaks" featuring a male teenager who, after suffering neglect and physical abuse, decides to run away from home; interspersed are shots of the band performing the song at a concert.

Misery Loves Co. is a reformed Swedish industrial metal duo, initially active in the 1990s and early 2000s. The band combine the hostility of thrash metal riffs with electronic samples usually associated with industrial music. Their lyrics generally focus on bleak sexual visions and pain over troubled relationships.

Carl Christoffer Lundquist is a Swedish musician and producer. He was once in the band Brainpool, where he started as a bass player and backing vocalist, but moved to play both the bass and the guitar. Brainpool won a Swedish Grammy in 1994. Styrke wrote the song with Joe Janiak and Mozella. Janiak produced the track with Elof Loelv as co-producer. Upon its release, the single appeared below the top 100 of the Sverigetopplistan singles chart at number four on the Heatseeker chart.
