The Miss Orlando has been a staple of the Orlando community since 1933, serving as an official preliminary to the Miss Florida and Miss America. In January 2023, Makaila Nichols was named the incoming Executive Director of the Miss Orlando Scholarship Competition. Later that year, Nichols took over the program as the current Executive Director, following the announced retirement of then Executive Director, David Wheeler, heading into the 2023/24 competition season. Wheeler continues to serve as Ex Officio/Advisor and Historian for the organization, providing valuable insights and guidance to the team.
The Miss Orlando 2024 will be held on February 11, 2024, returning to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
At the end of the event, Miss Orlando 2023 Madison Zavitz will crown her successor.

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its sixteen members include the flagship public universities of twelve states, three additional public land-grant universities, and one private research university. The conference is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The University of Central Florida (UCF) is a public research university with its main campus in unincorporated Orange County, Florida. It is part of the State University System of Florida. Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 18 and 28. Originating in 1921 as a "bathing beauty revue", the contest is judged on competition segments with scoring percentages: Private Interview (30%) – a 10-minute press conference-style interview with a panel of judges, On Stage Question (10%) – answering a judge's question onstage, Talent or HER Story (20%) – a performance talent or 90 second speech, Health and Fitness (20%) – demonstrated physical fitness onstage dressed in athletic wear, and Evening Gown (20%) – modeling evening-wear onstage.
Orlando International Airport is the primary international airport located 6 miles (9.7 km) southeast of Downtown Orlando, Florida. In 2021, it had 19,618,838 enplanements, making it the busiest airport in the state and seventh busiest airport in the United States. The airport code MCO stands for the airport's former name, McCoy Air Force Base, a Strategic Air Command (SAC) installation, that was closed in 1975 as part of a general military drawdown following the end of the Vietnam War.
Full Sail University is a private for-profit university in Winter Park, Florida. It was formerly a recording studio in Ohio named Full Sail Productions and Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts. The school moved to Florida in 1980, began offering bachelor's degrees in 2005, and began offering online degrees in 2007. The following year, the school was granted university status by the Florida Department of Education.
Universal Studios Florida is a theme park located in Orlando, Florida, that opened on June 7, 1990. Owned and operated by NBCUniversal, it features numerous rides, attractions, and live shows that are primarily themed to movies, television, and other aspects of the entertainment industry. Universal Studios Florida was the first of three theme parks to open at Universal Orlando Resort, joined later by Universal Islands of Adventure in 1999, and Universal Volcano Bay in 2017. In 2019, it ranked eleventh in the world – sixth in North America – for overall attendance among amusement parks with approximately 10.9 million visitors. A fourth park, Universal Epic Universe, is expected in 2025.
Miss America's Teen is an American scholarship pageant. It is the sister program to the Miss America Opportunity, and it aims to "promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens." In order to be eligible to compete, participants must first compete and win at the local level and then win the state title. The competition consists of several parts of competition which consists of an eight-minute interview in front of a panel of judges, talent, lifestyle and wellness, evening wear, and an on-stage question. All competitors must be girls between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age.
The Miss Florida competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Florida in the Miss America pageant. Florida has twice won the Miss America crown.
The Miss Colorado competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Colorado in the Miss America pageant. The Colorado representative has won the Miss America crown on four occasions.
The Miss Georgia competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Georgia in the Miss America pageant.
The Miss New Hampshire is the scholarship program that selects the representative for the state of New Hampshire in the Miss America competition.
The Miss Oregon competition is a regional scholarship competition that selects the representative for the US state of Oregon in the Miss America pageant. The annual event includes contestants from across the state and awards scholarships to the participants.
AdventHealth is a Seventh-day Adventist non-profit health care system headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida, that operates facilities in 9 states across the United States. On January 2, 2019, Adventist Health System rebranded to AdventHealth. It is the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care provider in the country. In 2021, it was the second largest hospital network in Florida. On February 28, 2023, it was the fifteenth largest in the country. It operates 52 hospitals in nine states that serve more than 6.7 million patients annually.
The Miss Florida's Teen competition is the competition that selects the representative for the U.S. state of Florida in the Miss America's Teen competition.
The Orlando Eye by Merlin Entertainments is a 400 ft (122 m) tall Ferris wheel at Icon Park in Orlando, Florida, United States. It opened on April 29, 2015.

Mary Katherine Fechtel is an American titleholder from Leesburg, Florida, who was crowned Miss Florida 2015. She competed for the Miss America 2016 title in September 2015 live on ABC and placed in the top 10.

Miss Rodeo America is an annual pageant to select the official spokesperson for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
