Miss Scandinavia

Miss Scandinavia is a beauty pageant for Nordic women. The contest was merged with the Miss Baltic Sea pageant for the years 2007 and 2008 and after that the merged pageant was also discontinued.

It was sponsored by MTV3 .

After a haitus between 2009 and 2020, the Miss Scandinavia pageant returned in 2021 with new organizers under the Miss Scandinavia Organization.

The Miss Sweden or Miss Universe Sweden, is the title of the Swedish beauty pageant, qualifying delegates to the Miss Universe competition. In 2009 the pageant renamed as Miss Universe Sweden and the first national final was held on 6 June 2009, the National Day of Sweden. Among the judges were Yvonne Ryding, Miss Universe 1984. The pageant is a late branch of the Miss Sweden contest. The director of the contest is Joakim Granberg of the Starworld Entertainment Corporation.

Josephine Elisabeth Larissa Alhanko is a Swedish actress and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Sweden 2006 and represented her country at Miss Universe 2006 where she placed Top 20. She is a niece of the ballet dancer, Anneli Alhanko.

Suomen Neito was a traditional Finnish beauty pageant that was organized in the 1950s and 1960s, 1986 and from 1990 to 2007. In 1952, Armi Kuusela was crowned as the first Suomen Neito, which qualified her into the first-ever Miss Universe pageant, becoming its first titleholder. Between 1986 and 2006, the winners took part in the Miss World pageant. The 2007 representative was selected in a new pageant, which reduced the value of Suomen Neito and it was disbanded.

Louise Camuto is a Swedish model, businesswoman and beauty pageant titleholder. She was Miss Sweden 1989, and finished as first runner-up in the Miss Universe 1989 pageant. Later that year, she was crowned Miss Scandinavia, in Helsinki. She was formerly Chief Creative Officer at Camuto Group, owned by her late husband, businessman Vince Camuto. She attended the New York School of Interior Design, Christie's Education and Columbia University's Executive Management program. She has worked as an executive, holding the position of President of Marketing and Communications at Camuto Group, a company owned by her husband Vince Camuto, who died in 2015.

Helena Stenbäck, won the Miss Sweden pageant in 2003 and represented the country in Miss Universe but did not make the top 15 cut. She is from Piteå and was educated in Umeå where she completed a Master in Economics. Helena became a full favorite of jury after her discussion about war in Iraq.

Eva-Lena Lundgren is a Swedish model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Sweden 1981. Later in 1981 she finished in third place at the Miss Universe 1981 pageant and fourth place at Miss Europe. Lundgren was awarded the Miss Scandinavia crown the same year in Helsinki, Finland.

Nya Fröken Sverige(in English: New Miss Sweden) was a Swedish beauty pageant, under administration of the swimsuit producer Panos Emporio. The recruitment process is based on personal interviews and education backgrounds, and no traditional swimsuit competition is arranged. The very first winner Josephine Alhanko competed at the Miss Universe in 2006 and was placed as semi-finalist, but it was later discovered that the two pageants are fundamentally different and the national director decided to abolish international beauty competitions. The contest is a branch of the former Miss Sweden pageant, that existed between 1949 and 2005. Politician Sara Skyttedal participated in 2006 and made it to the final.

Alexandra Friberg is a Swedish model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe Sweden 2013 on 30 August 2013. Friberg represented Sweden at the Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow.

Miss Grand Sweden is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Swedish representatives competing at the Miss Grand International pageant. The title was first awarded in 2013, when a finalist in Miss Universe Sweden 2012, Claudia Sundberg, was assigned to partake in the inaugural edition of the parent international tournament in Thailand. In 2014, the license was transferred to the Miss Queen of Scandinavia Organization (MQOS), the Miss World Sweden organizer chaired by Peter Hadward, who served as the Miss Grand Sweden director until 2021.
