Aliina [1] Atkinson, [2] known by her stage name DJ Missrepresent, sometimes Miss Represent is a British drum and bass DJ [3] and music producer. [4]

Career

Missrepresent, previously Aliina Mayes, established Aftershock Radio in 2004, an internet based radio station which broadcast from Gloucester. Aftershock went on to co-host events alongside drum and bass promoters Bedlam, Devotion and Random Concept which toured around the UK, Spain and Germany. [5]

She was part of the duo Silent Code, providing vocals and co-producing for the singles "Night Train", [6] "Spellbound", [7] and "East Star" released on the EA Games Need For Speed soundtrack. [8]

Remixes of DJ SS Black [9] feature on Formation Records run by DJ SS, and the jungle remix of DJ Rap's Spiritual Aura [10] was released on Propa Talent Recordings. Viper Recordings released Engaged, and Listen. Easy Records released the Code Breaker EP. [11]

Missrepresent appeared as part of the Ortofon / Ecler Pro DJ team [12] at promotional events for Henley Pro 2009/2010, and has endorsed other products such as the Pump Audio earphones. [13] [ non-primary source needed ]

Missrepresent has a DJ career and appears at music events and festivals as stated in The Scunthorpe Telegraph [14] DJ Mag, [15] Scunthorpe Nights, [16] KMag and DOA. [17] Her performances in Seoul Korea [18] and Taipei 2009 events, had Tom Leeming of the Taipei Times promoting it as "a must-see event". [19]

Missrepresent was named alongside Annie Mac and DJ Storm at the National Drum and Bass Awards in 2012. [20]

Flavourmag named her as one of the 15 top hottest DJs in the UK in 2013. [21]

In August 2015 she won the best female jungle DJ award at the We Love Jungle Awards London. [22]

In August 2016 she won the best female artist award at the National drum and bass awards held at the London O2. [23] [24]

The Prototypes is a British drum and bass duo consisting of Chris Garvey and Nick White. Founded in Brighton, England, in the late 2000s, by 2010 they had released their first singles on labels such as Formation Records and Viper Recordings, and from 2011 to 2013 were signed to Shogun Audio. They have released a number of EPs, and have received radio and live PA support from DJs such as Matrix & Futurebound. Signing exclusively to Viper Recordings in 2014, in the following months the duo released a number of promo singles for a debut album. Their resulting single, "Pale Blue Dot" ranked as Beatport's second top selling drum and bass track of the year. The track was also nominated for Best Track at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards, with The Prototypes also nominated for Best Producer, Best Music Video, and Best DJ.

Natalia Sheppard, better known by her stage names MC Tali and Tali, is a New Zealand drum and bass artist, best known for her 2004 hit "Lyric on My Lip", which reached #39 in the UK Singles Chart. Tali has also worked with prominent artists, such as former Mercury Music Prize nominee Roni Size. Tali prefers to use the name "Tali" when singing and songwriting acoustically or live, preferring to use 'MC" whenever she collaborates with electronic music artists, sometimes using the former. In November 2019 Tali won the Vodafone New Zealand Music Award for Best Electronica Artist for her 2018 album "Love & Migration".

Good Times Ahead are an electronic music duo from Miami consisting of house, electro house, trap and hip hop producers Julio Mejia and Matt Toth. After releasing music with the support of Laidback Luke in 2011, the duo caught the attention of Diplo, who featured them on his 2012 "Express Yourself" which was written by their cousin Joel Santillan. Ed Rush is the stage name used by the drum and bass producer and DJ, Ben Settle. Rush has been releasing records since 1992 and primarily with his musical partner Optical, since 1997. Along with Optical he is also the co-founder of the record label Virus Recordings which releases his records along with other drum and bass acts. He is most associated with the aggressive styles of drum and bass music known as techstep, darkcore and neurofunk.

Matt Quinn, known by his stage name Optical, is a British musician, producer and DJ. He is co-founder and owner of Virus Recordings, a widely regarded drum and bass record label. He is best known as one half of drum and bass duo Ed Rush and Optical, whose debut album Wormhole has been described as one of the most significant LPs of the drum and bass genre. He is also the brother of Jamie Quinn also known as Matrix.
