Mnihla is a municipality and commune in the Ariana Governorate, part of the Greater Tunis metropolitan area. [1]
It is a working-class neighborhood that was created in the 1970s with the arrival of populations from internal migration. Originally an area mostly built with no official permits, it was later integrated into the urban master plan of the Tunis metropolitan area.
It was established on May 26, 2016, following a split from the municipality of Ettadhamen-Mnihla. [2]
The municipality is divided into two parts: the main area of Mnihla, which consists of the neighborhoods of El Basatin, Al Saffa, and Aishish, and Upper Mnihla, located at a higher elevation, which includes the neighborhoods of Al-Kilani, Al-Kaabi, and Al-Saffa. [3]

El Mourouj is a town and commune in the southern suburbs of Tunis in the Ben Arous Governorate, Tunisia. It became a commune in 1991. It has 120,732 inhabitants as of 2022, compared to 81,986 in 2004, making it the most populous commune in the Ben Arous Governorate. It is the seat of El Mourouj Delegation. The delegation, divided into five districts, has a main axis; the Avenue des Martyrs, which divides it into two parts from north to south. Exceptionally, El Mourouj 2 is part of Tunis Goveronorate.
Den Den, is a town and commune in the Manouba Governorate, Tunisia, part of the western banlieue of Tunis. As of 2022, it had a population of 30,293. This population count includes both Den Den and the town of Ksar Saïd. Formerly mainly devoted to farming as located within the part of Tunisia suitable for market gardening, it has been progressively integrated in the Tunisian urban area. Within the city are located several palaces who belonged to the Beys of Tunis of the Husainid dynasty, they were used as winter residences. The most lavish one, the Zarrouk palace, named after minister Mohamed Larbi Zarrouk, is still in use for various entertainment purposes. A craft village aiming to promote Tunisian handicraft was also built in the commune by the National Office of Tunisian Handicrafts
Douar Hicher is a town and commune in the Manouba Governorate, Tunisia. It is known for the important political role that its inhabitants, especially the youth, played in the manifestations during the Tunisian revolution between December 2010 and February 2011.
Ettadhamen is a municipality and commune in the Ariana Governorate, part of the Greater Tunis metropolitan area. It was formed in 2016 when the municipality of Ettadhamen-Mnihla was split, with Mnihla becoming a separate entity. The name "Ettadhamen" means "solidarity." The municipality was established in the 1950s to accommodate populations from internal migration. Initially an informal settlement, it was later incorporated into the urban planning of the Tunisian capital's metropolitan area.
