Mir Mohabat Khan Marri is a Pakistani politician and a former Member of the Senate of Pakistan. [1]
He belongs to Baluchistan province,and was elected to the Senate of Pakistan on general seat as Pakistan Muslim League (PML) candidate. His tenure began in March 2006,and ended in March 2012. [2] [3] As a Senator he has served in Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources,Standing Committee on Food,Agriculture and Livestock and as a Chairman of Standing Committee on Local Government and Rural Development. He was a Provincial Minister for Revenue,Religious,Excise and Minorities Affairs during 1999-2002 Balochistan Assembly Cabinet. [4] [5] [6] [7]
Nawab Akbar Shahbaz Khan Bugti was a Pakistani politician and the Tumandar (head) of the Bugti tribe of Baloch people who served as the Minister of State for Interior and Governor of Balochistan Province in Pakistan. To be elected for the seat of Vice Chairman Senate,candidate had to secure at least 53 votes from the house of 104. On 1 August 2019,a no-confidence motion was presented by the government in the senate to remove him from the post of the Deputy Chairman of the Senate,but the motion failed. The government couldn't get enough required votes to remove him from the post.
