Mohamad Ali Jinnah is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and a former member of parliament for Chittagong-1.
Jinnah was elected to parliament from Chittagong-1 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 1996 and 2001. [1] He joined the Liberal Democratic Party in 2006. [2]
General elections were held in Bangladesh on 3 March 1988. They were boycotted by several major parties,including the Bangladesh Awami League,the Bangladesh Nationalist Party,the Communist Party of Bangladesh,Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh,the Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Awami League,the National Awami Party (Muzaffar) and the Workers Party of Bangladesh. The result was a victory for the Jatiya Party,which won 251 of the 300 seats. Voter turnout was 52%.
Abu Hena Mohammad Mustafa Kamal commonly known as Lotus Kamal is a Bangladeshi politician,former cricket official,and businessman. He was a member of the Jatiya Sangsad representing the Comilla-10 constituency and a Minister for Planning as well as Minister of Finance. He is the owner of Lotus Kamal Group,which is a well-known Bangladeshi conglomerate. Kamal was awarded the Finance Minister of the Year 2020 by magazine The Banker.
