Mohammad Khalvandi (born 11 January 1990) is an Iranian athlete who competes in disability athletics in the F58 category. At the 2012 Paralympics, Khalvandi set a World Record for the F58 class with a throw of 50.98m as he won gold in the combined F57/58 category. [1] Khalvandi also won the combined F57/58 javelin 2013 World title. [2]
The 800 metres, or meters, is a common track running event. It is the shortest commonly run middle-distance running event. The 800 metres is run over two laps of an outdoor (400-metre) track and has been an Olympic event since the first modern games in 1896. During the winter track season the event is usually run by completing four laps of an indoor 200-metre track.

The World Para Athletics European Championships, known prior to 2018 as the IPC Athletics European Championships is an event organized by World Para Athletics, the international athletics federation established under the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in 2016. Athletes with a physical disability compete, and there is also a specific category for athletes with an intellectual disability. Organised biennially, the original Games ran from 2003 to 2005 as an Open Championship but the event was frozen in 2005, but returned in 2012 in Stadskanaal, Netherlands.
Gocha Khugaev, is a Russian athlete who competes in disability athletics in the F58 category. At the 2012 European Championships Khugaev set a European record whilst winning the 200 metres. He also won gold in the long jump in a combined F37/38 class, however an illegal wind reading of 2.4 m/s prevented him from setting a world record. Khugaev set a F37 world record for the long jump at the London Paralympic Games as he won gold in a combined F37/38 class.
Hani Alnakhli is a Saudi Arabian athlete who competes in disability athletics in the F33 category. In Guangzhou for the 2010 Asian Para Games, Alnakhli won the gold medal in a combined F32–34 class for the discus and set a new world record for the F33 category. At the 2011 Paralympic World Cup in Manchester, Alnakhli broke his world F33 record for the discus. Alnakhli again broke his world record at the London Paralympic Games as he won silver in a combined F32/33/34 class. At the 2013 World championships, Alnakhli set a championship record for the F33 class but had to settle for bronze in a combined F32–34 event.
Mohamed Berrahal is an Algerian athlete who competes in disability athletics in the T/F51 category. Berrahal broke the world record in the F51 category to become the Paralympic Champion in London. At the 2013 World Championships he broke his own world record as he won a combined F51–53 event in the discus.
Deepa Malik is an Indian athlete. She started her career at the age of 30. She is the first Indian woman to win a medal in Paralympic Games and won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in shot put. She also won gold in the F-53/54 Javelin event at the para athletic Grand Prix held in Dubai in 2018. She is currently the world number one in the F-53 category. She has won accolades for her participation in various adventure sports. She is associated with Himalayan Motorsports Association (H.M.A.) and Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (F.M.S.C.I.). She has undertaken an 8-day, 1,700-km drive in sub-zero temperatures which included a climb to 18,000 feet (5,500 m). It was – Raid De Himalaya. This journey covers many difficult paths including remote Himalayas, Leh, Shimla and Jammu.
Jayden Sawyer is an Australian para athlete who competes mainly in the F38 category in throwing events. He won has won gold and bronze medals at the World Para Athletics Championships. He competed at the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Summer Paralympics.
The 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships was a track and field competition for athletes with a disability open to International Paralympic Committee (IPC) affiliated countries within Europe, plus Azerbaijan and Israel. It was held in Berlin, Germany and took place between 20 and 26 August 2018 at the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark. 596 athletes from 35 countries competed during the championships.
