Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar is a Pakistani and former British politician who served as the 31st and 33rd Governor of Punjab, from 2013 to 2015 and from 2018 to 2022. In his first term, he represented the Pakistan Muslim League (N). In his second term, he represented the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He was a member of the Senate of Pakistan from March 2018 until September 2018. From 1997 to 2010 Sarwar was a Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, representing a constituency in Glasgow, Scotland.
The Yusufzai or Yousafzai, also referred to as the Esapzai, or Yusufzai Afghans historically, are one of the largest tribes of ethnic Pashtuns. They are natively based in the northern part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to which they migrated from Kabul during the 16th century, but they are also present in parts of Afghanistan, including Kunar, Kabul, Kandahar and Farah. Yousafzai is a human rights advocate for the education of women and children in her native homeland, Swat, where the Pakistani Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. Her advocacy has grown into an international movement, and according to former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, she has become Pakistan's "most prominent citizen."
Bārakzai is the name of a Pashtun tribe from present-day, Kandahar, Afghanistan. '"Barakzai" is a common name among the Pashtuns and it means "son of Barak" in Pashto. According to the Encyclopædia Iranica, "In the detailed Pashtun genealogies there are no fewer than seven instances of the ethnic name Bārakzī, at very different levels of tribal segmentation. Six of them designate simple lineages within six different tribes located in the Solaymān mountains or adjacent lands... The seventh instance, on the other hand, designates one of the most important Pashtun tribes in numbers and historic role, part of the Zīrak branch of the Dorrānay confederation.

Mohammad Sarwar Afridi is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He made his first-class debut on 26 October 2015 in the 2015–16 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He made his List A debut for Federally Administered Tribal Areas in the 2017–18 Regional One Day Cup on 4 February 2018.
Muhammad Sarwar is a Pakistani former field hockey player who was active from 1995 to 2002, and played as a striker in 180 games over the course of his international career, scoring 44 goals. Sarwar played in the Premier Hockey League and represented Pakistan in the 1996 Summer Olympics, and again in the 2000 Summer Olympics, and in several Hockey World Cup tournaments. In 2002, he was on the bronze medal-winning team in the Commonwealth Games.
Chouhdary Omer Sarfraz Cheema is a Pakistani politician belonging to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (1996-present). He has been a founding member of PTI. He served as the 42nd Governor of Punjab from 3 April 2022 to 10 May 2022 and was appointed by Imran Khan. He was removed as Governor and replaced by Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman on 30 May 2022, with approval from the President of Pakistan. He was later appointed as Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab on Information by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. He was further appointed as Advisor to the Chief Minister on Home and Prisons. He ceased to hold both offices on 14 January 2023.
