Mohammed Asif Ali

Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali is the Heir-Apparent and Dewan to the current Prince of Arcot, Nawab Muhammed Abdul Ali. [1] [2] He is a philanthropist and cultural figure based in Chennai, India. His family lineage traces back to Hazrat Umar ibn al-Khattab, the second Caliph of Islam. [3]

Early life and education

He completed his schooling at Don Bosco School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai. [3]

Leadership and philanthropy

He serves as the Chairman of Whiteleaf Ventures Private Limited, and is the President of the Carnatic Family Association. [4]

He is the Founder Trustee of the Arcot Foundation, which provides assistance to underprivileged individuals across communities. [3]

Public service

He serves as the Secretary of the Prince of Arcot Educational and Charitable Trust, which promotes education and social welfare. [5] [6] [7]

He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Social Work by the International Global Peace University at the Tamil Nadu Achievers Conference in Chennai.

Views and advocacy

Asif Ali has promoted interfaith harmony and secularism. In 2018, he stated at a public event that no religion teaches hatred and urged youth to uphold unity and social peace. [8] [9]
