Mohammed Saidul Islam, rcds, ndc, psc is a Major General of the Bangladesh Army and the Commandant of Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT). Prior to join here, he was Commandant of Military Institute of Science and Technology. He has completed RCDS course from the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS). Prior to that, he was the chairman of Sena Kalyan Sangstha. [1]

Career

Islam served as the Director General of the National Identity Registration Wing of the Election Commission. [2] Islam also served as the Director of Identification System for Enhancing Access to Services Project, phrase two, of the National Identity Card of the Election Commission in 2020. [3] He blocked the National Identity Cards of almost one thousand people for registering twice as voters. [4]

On 21 March 2020, Islam inaugurated the shopping mall of Sena Kalyan Sangstha at Mohakhali DOHS. [5]

The National Identity Card or NID card is a compulsory identity document issued to every Bangladeshi citizen upon turning 18 years of age by Bangladesh Election Commission (EC). The NID is also a biometric, microchip embedded smart identity card. The NID is required by Bangladeshi citizens for multiple essential public services & private services in Bangladesh. Initially, paper-based laminated NID cards were issued in 2006. Then, the paper-based laminated NID cards were replaced by the Smart NID cards in 2016. This was done to ensure security for the cardholder as well as prevent counterfeiting and fraudulence. Bangladesh government provides the Smart NID card with zero cost for all above 14 years Bangladeshi citizens.

The Bangladesh Armed Services Board is a Bangladesh government body under the Ministry of Defence responsible for the welfare of serving and retired military personnel. The director general of the board is Rashidul Alam, a brigadier general of the Bangladesh Army. The director of the Bangladesh Armed Services Board also sits on the Board of Directors of Sena Kalyan Sangstha.

Sena Paribar Kalyan Samity is a Bangladeshi non-profit operated by Bangladesh Army and managed by wives of senior military officers. The wife of the Bangladesh Army chief leads the organization.

Iftekhar Anis BSP, awc, afwc, psc, PEng is a major general of the Bangladesh Army. He is the incumbent Director general of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies. Earlier, he served as Engineer in chief at Army Headquarters. He was the Project Director of Padma Bridge Link Road.

Mohammad Habib Ullah is a two-star Major General of the Bangladesh Army. He is the chairman of Sena Kalyan Sangstha and Sena Kalyan Insurance.
