Bas-Rhin is a department in Alsace which is a part of the Grand Est super-region of France. The name means 'Lower Rhine', referring to its lower altitude among the two French Rhine departments: it is downstream of the Haut-Rhin department. Note that both belong to the European Upper Rhine region. It is, with the Haut-Rhin, one of the two departments of the traditional Alsace region which until 1871, also included the area now known as the Territoire de Belfort. The more populous and densely populated of the pair, it had 1,140,057 inhabitants in 2019. The prefecture is based in Strasbourg. The INSEE and Post Code is 67.
Plzeň Region is an administrative unit (kraj) in the western part of Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It is named after its capital Plzeň. In terms of area, Plzeň Region is 7,561 km2, the third largest region in the Czech Republic. However, with a population of about 585,000 inhabitants it is only the ninth most populous region. After the South Bohemian Region it is the second least densely populated region. The region can be roughly divided into two parts: a highly industrialized north-eastern part with a strong engineering tradition around Pilsen and a more hilly and rural south-western part with smaller-sized manufacturing companies processing natural resources.

Baerenthal is a commune in the Moselle department of the Grand Est administrative region in north-eastern France.
Langlade is a commune and a village in the Gard department in southern France located some 15 km (9.3 mi) southwest of Nîmes. The village is situated in an area of low hills and plains known as the Vaunage and has existed since at least 1125. It was built near to a Roman road and had a small church at its centre. In the 17th century a staging point was set up on the Roman road nearby and later a station was built in the village on the railway line connecting Nîmes to Roquefort. The station closed in 1987. Much of the local area is devoted to the cultivation of grapes. From a hamlet with fewer than 400 inhabitants in the 1960s, the village has grown considerably, so that by 2008 it had 1,993 inhabitants.
