Mojave River League

The Mojave River League is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. [1] Members are located in the Hesperia and Apple Valley area of San Bernardino County, California, north of Cajon Pass in the San Gabriel Mountains.

CIF Southern Section organization

The California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS) is the governing body for high school athletics in most of Southern California and is the largest of the ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Its membership includes most public and private high schools in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Mono and Inyo counties, as well as a small portion of Kern County. Teams from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and surrounding areas have competed in the CIF Los Angeles City Section since 1935. Needles High School, at the far eastern edge of San Bernardino County, and Coleville High School, in the far north of Mono County, are members of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association. CIFSS's offices are located in Los Alamitos.

Hesperia, California City in California, United States

Hesperia is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States 35 miles (56 km) north of downtown San Bernardino in Victor Valley. This portion of the Mojave Desert is referred to as the High Desert due to the unique and moderate weather patterns. 2015 census estimates report that the City has a total population of 92,755.

Apple Valley, California Town in California in the United States

Apple Valley is in the Victor Valley of San Bernardino County, in the U.S. state of California. It was incorporated on November 14, 1988, and is one of the twenty-two incorporated municipalities in California that uses "town" in its name instead of "city." The town is east of and adjoining to the neighboring cities of Victorville and Hesperia, 35 miles (56 km) south of Barstow and 49 miles (79 km) north of San Bernardino through the Cajon Pass. The population was 69,135 at the 2010 census.

Apple Valley High School (AVHS) is a public four-year high school located in Apple Valley, California, United States. It is a part of the Apple Valley Unified School District. Built in 1967, it was the only high school in the Town of Apple Valley until 1999 when Granite Hills High School opened. The campus has expanded with growth and was modernized with local bond funds in 2002.

Hesperia High School

Hesperia High School is a public four-year high school within the Hesperia Unified School District located in Hesperia, San Bernardino County, California. It is one of three comprehensive high schools in the district.

Serrano High School

Serrano High School is a public high school in the California High Desert community of Phelan, California. It serves students from Phelan, Wrightwood and Piñon Hills. It is part of the Snowline Joint Unified School District. The school is named for the Serrano people. Its mascot is the Diamondback.

Citrus Belt League (C.B.L.) is a high school sports league in the Inland Empire region within the Greater Los Angeles area of California's CIF Southern Section. The Citrus Belt League was one of the first leagues in 1913 when the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) was established under a different name. The league dates back to the 1890s, with founding members Chaffey High School of Ontario, Redlands High School, Riverside High School and San Bernardino High School. It was the only Division I league in the San Bernardino-Riverside County area since its inception, until 2006, when CIF Southern Section releagued it to Division II. The league also organizes an Academic Decathlon competition.

Evergreen Valley High School

Evergeen Valley School is a comprehensive, 4-year high school located in the Evergreen area of San Jose, California, and is part of the East Side Union High School District. It was founded in 2002. The school held its first graduation of seniors on June 7, 2005. From 2007 to 2015, U.S. News and World Report recognized the school with a silver award in its Best High Schools 2008-2015 list. In 2013, Evergreen Valley received a clear six year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Palomares League is a high school athletic league in Southern California. It is a member of the CIF Southern Section, serving the eastern San Gabriel Valley and Chino Hills in San Bernardino County. The 2014-15 school year will be its inaugural season. Several of these schools were previously in what was known as the Sierra League.

The Mountain Valley League is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. Members public schools around Moreno Valley in Riverside County.

The Mountain Pass League is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. It covers the area around the San Jacinto Valley in Riverside County, California.

The Rio Hondo League is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. Members are located in the Pasadena area in the west San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County.

The San Gabriel Valley League is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. Members are located in southeastern Los Angeles County. The name is a bit of a misnomer. Most of the schools are nearer to the Los Angeles River, with the San Gabriel River to the east of all but Gahr High School. The San Gabriel Valley is regarded to be north of the San Rafael Hills, some ten miles north of Downey High School, the farthest north of the schools in this league.

The Coast View Conference is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. It is an amalgamation of the Sea View League and the South Coast Leagues.
