Montserrat Vayreda i Trullol (1924-2006) was a Catalan poet.
Vayreda was from Figueres in Girona. [1]
Descended from a family of Catalan artists, she was granddaughter of a recognised botanic, Estanislau Vayreda. Influenced by maternal grandfather, a poet Sebastià Trullol, she tried her hand in poetry herself. Following her literary debut in 1955 she was gaining recognition, publishing also in local periodicals and active in various Catalan cultural initiatives. In 1999 she received Creu de Sant Jordi.
Vayreda was associated with the Catalan poet Sun Estarriol and gave her advice on early poetry. [2]

She was included in the Anthology New European Poets by Wayne Miller & Kevin Prufer, Minnesota 2008.

Caterina Albert i Paradís, better known by her pen name Víctor Català, was a Catalan writer in Catalan and Spanish who participated in the Modernisme movement and was the author of one of the signature works of the genre, Solitud (Solitude) (1905). Her literary skill was first recognized in 1898, when she received the Jocs Florals prize; soon thereafter, she began using the pseudonym Victor Català, taking it from the protagonist of a novel she never finished. Despite her success as a dramatist and her forays into poetry, she is best known for her work in narrative literature, with the force of her style and the richness of her diction being especially noted. She died in her hometown of l’Escala, Catalonia, in 1966 and is interred in the Cementiri Vell de l’Escala.

He is particularly acknowledged for his 1904 novel, La Punyalada, declared one of the best Catalan literary works of all time. Politically Vayreda is considered a typical case of an identity located in-between Carlism and emerging Spain's peripheral nationalisms.
Eva Baltasar is a Catalan poet and writer. She has a bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona. She has published ten books of poetry, which have earned numerous awards including the 2008 Miquel de Palol, the 2010 Benet Ribas, and the 2015 Gabriel Ferrater. Baltasar's first novel, Permafrost, received the 2018 Catalan Booksellers Award and it has sold the translation rights to six languages.

Pilar Cabot i Vila was a Catalan writer of poetry, children's and adult's books, short stories and prose. She operated her own bookstore CLAM selling Catalan literature in her hometown of Vic from 1965 to 1985. Cabot authored approximately twenty works of poetry and she was actively involved as an honorary member of the Catalan Language Writers Association. She won awards for her works and established the Tertúlies amb poetes event happeneing every second Saturday of each month during an afternoon in 1997.
Narcís Comadira i Moragriega is a Catalan poet, painter, playwright, translator, journalist and literary critic. His poetry is rather classical in nature, with a contemplative theme and a certain ironic point of view. As a painter, he understands his work as an extension of poetry. His first works show references to surrealism and pop culture, as well as his master Domènec Fita. In the late 70's he left the figurative painting to begin to represent nature and architecture, specializing in a very personal landscape and marked by realism, which in his latest work is leading to a synthesis of it, where fewer and fewer elements appear in his works.
Irene Rocas i Romaguera (1861-1947) was a Catalan folklorist and lexicographer. Her works contributed to the research on Empordà language and literature. One of the most notable of these was the Diccionari català-valencià-balear, a collaboration with the Majorcan author Mossèn Alcover. She was the mother of the Spanish writer, folklorist, and academic, Maria Gracia Bassa i Rocas.
Renada-Laura Portet was the pen name of Renada-Laura Calmon-Ouillet a Northern Catalonia writer and linguist of Occitania origin. She was one of the most important literary voices in Northern Catalonia. Portet cultivated the genres of poetry, short story, novel, drama, and essays, as well as scientific or research writing on topics such as linguistics, toponymy, or onomastics. She used several other pseudonyms including, "Caterina Martí", "Isabel Rosselló", "Vicenta Pallarès", "Toni Vidaló" and "Ramon Oliver".
