The flag is similar to the Japanese flag, with the difference being the Japanese flag depicting the red disc centered on a white field.

Hesham Mohamed Kandil or Kandeel is an Egyptian engineer and civil servant who was Prime Minister of Egypt from 2012 to 2013. Qandil was appointed as Prime Minister by President Mohamed Morsi on 24 July 2012. Qandil previously served as Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation from 2011 to 2012.
Ahmed Mekki was the minister of justice of Egypt from 2 August 2012 until he submitted his resignation to President Morsi on 20 April 2013. He was a member of the Qandil Cabinet. Mekki was one of the independent ministers in the cabinet. He is the brother of the former vice president Mahmoud Mekki, who resigned from office on 22 December 2012.

The Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) is an Egyptian Islamist political party. The ex-president of the party, Mohamed Morsi, won the 2012 presidential election, and in the 2011 parliamentary election it won more seats than any other party. It is nominally independent, but has strong links to the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt, the largest political group in Egypt. The party was banned and dissolved in 2014; however, it continues to function underground.
Michael Mathealira Ramodibedi is a jurist from Lesotho who has served on the courts of several Commonwealth countries in Africa. A graduate of the University of Botswana, Lesotho, and Swaziland, he began his law career in Lesotho, and would later go on to hold positions on the bench there as well as in Seychelles and Botswana. He was the Chief Justice of Swaziland until 17 June 2015, when he was fired by King Mswati III for misconduct.
