Mordechai Meirovitz (born 1930 in Romania) is an Israeli telecommunications expert.

Meirovitz invented the code-breaking board game Master Mind . After being rejected by leading games companies, he sparked the interest of a Leicester-based company, Invicta Plastics, which restyled and renamed the game. [1] Released in 1971, the game sold over 50 million sets in 80 countries, making it the most successful new game of the 1970s. [2]

In Israel, the game is marketed as Bul pgi'a (Hebrew : בול פגיעה). [3]

<i>Piposh</i> Israeli video game series

Piposh is an Israeli media franchise that started as a series of comedic point-and-click adventure video games developed by Guillotine and published by Hed Arzi Multimedia for Windows. Based on an eponymous actor-turned-detective who embarks on several adventures solving murders, the titles include Piposh, Piposh 2, Halom SheItgashem (spin-off), and Piposh 3D: HaMahapecha. An English version of Piposh entitled Piposh: Hollywood was published in 2002. The series, which began in 1999, was created at a time when the Israeli video gaming industry was at its peak, particularly in terms of adventure gaming, and served as a notable example of a work targeted specifically at the young local market, with aspects such as inside jokes relating to Israeli culture. The games became very popular within Israel, although never becoming financially successful, and its developers struggled to live off the proceeds.

<i>Piposh</i> (2021 video game) 2021 video game

Piposh is a 2021 episodic adventure video game and a reboot of the Piposh video game franchise which was developed by Israeli studio Guillotine from 1999 to 2003. The point-and-click games center around the adventures of failed actor Hezi Piposh, and see players explore, collect items, and interact with characters to advance through the plot. The new title was originally to be a 'four-part trilogy', with the first installment being released in September 2019. This was later changed to a complete title, which was released on April 1, 2021.
