History

Morning Live first broadcast in October 2020 as a 40-part series to connect with viewers' real-life concerns and to offer trustworthy and expert advice. [11]

The programme returned for a second series in January 2021, following the launch series, which averaged 1,400,000 viewers. One episode in February 2021, achieved 1,800,000 viewers. [12] [13] [14]

In February 2022, Morning Live moved to a new studio "in the heart of Manchester city centre," more specifically inside the ABC Buildings. [5]

Upon its move to Manchester, Morning Live was averaging 1,200,000 viewers, and was consistently achieving slot-winning figures. [5]

In November 2023, Morning Live won the Best Factual Series at the Royal Television Society's North West Awards. [15]

In December 2023, it was announced that Morning Live would extend its running time from 45 minutes to 75 minutes, beginning in the New Year. Its new slot was announced as 9:30 to 10:45. [1]

<i>Doctors</i> (2000 TV series) British television soap opera

Doctors is a British medical soap opera, first broadcast on BBC One on 26 March 2000. Filmed in Birmingham and set in the fictional West Midlands town of Letherbridge, the soap follows the lives of the staff of both an NHS doctor's surgery and a university campus surgery, as well as the lives of their families and friends. Initially, only 41 episodes of the programme were ordered, but due to the positive reception, the BBC ordered it as a continuing soap opera. Doctors was filmed at the Pebble Mill Studios until 2004; production then relocated to the BBC Drama Village, where it will film until 2024. Episodes are filmed three months prior to transmission. The soap is typically broadcast on weekdays at 1:45 pm on BBC One, as well as having classic episodes broadcast on Drama. It takes three annual transmission breaks across the year: at Easter, during the summer and at Christmas.

David Dickinson is an English antiques dealer and television presenter. Between 2000 and 2004, Dickinson hosted the BBC One antiques show Bargain Hunt, where he was succeeded by Tim Wonnacott. The show sees members of the public bringing antiques and collectables to sell to a dealer or take to the auction.

She released an album titled Standing Tall in 2003, which peaked at number nine in the UK and spawned two UK top ten singles.

MasterChef is a British competitive cooking reality show produced by Endemol Shine UK and Banijay and broadcast in 60 countries around the world. The show initially ran from 1990 to 2001 and was revived in 2005 as MasterChef Goes Large. The revival featured a new format devised by Franc Roddam and John Silver, with Karen Ross producing. In 2008, the name was changed back to MasterChef but the format remained unchanged.

The X Factor is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The fourth series was broadcast on ITV from 18 August 2007 and was won by Leon Jackson on 15 December 2007, with Rhydian Roberts finishing as the runner-up and Dannii Minogue emerging as the winning mentor. Dermot O'Leary presented for the first time, replacing Kate Thornton, who had been presenting the show since series 1 in 2004. Fearne Cotton replaced Ben Shephard as presenter on the spin-off show The Xtra Factor. The original judging panel consisted of Simon Cowell, Minogue, Sharon Osbourne and Brian Friedman.
