Plot

An innocent Abhay Mohanty comes to city with dreams of a decent job and a beautiful life. In circumstances he has to fight the local goons. His ambitions leads him to the criminal world. He becomes Baba, the Don of the dons. He becomes the most wanted in police file. [2]

Rangin Jajabara is a 1975 Odia language Indian movie. The music was composed by Akshya Mohanty. It was produced by Bijay Pattnaik, directed by Akshaya Mohanty, Hemanta Das and Bijay Mishra (Trimurty). It stars Sriram Panda, Banaja Mohanty and Tripura Mishra. Jajabar was the first black-and-white film in Odia to be digitally colourised and re-released in the state.

Durga Charan Mohanty (Odia:ଦୁର୍ଗାଚରଣ ମହାନ୍ତି, was an Odia Indian spiritual writer born in 1912 at Biratunga, a village under block Gop, near Konark, Odisha. The Odia Sahitya Akademi has been awarded to him in 1956–58 due to his active involvement in development of Odia language and literature Being a disciple of Swami Nigamananda, he wrote many books and translated Nigamananda's own-written Bengali books to Odia language. He was ପରିଚାଳକ of ନୀଳାଚଳ ସାରସ୍ୱତ ସଂଘ.

Sasura Ghara Zindabad is a 2010 Oriya film written directed by Sanjay Nayak. The film revolves around the three sons-in-law. The film achieved the rare distinction of entering the Limca Book of Records for having approval of censorship as one of two films by the same producer, director, cinematographer and hero, along with the film Dil Tate Deichi on the same day.

"Rangabati" is perhaps the most popular recorded song in Sambalpuri/Odiya. Jitendra Haripal, a 2017 Padma Shri awardee, is the male singer of the song. The song was first recorded for All India Radio in the mid-1970s. A record company from the then Calcutta, Indian Record Manufacturing Company Ltd (INRECO), re-recorded the song in 1976. The disc release was delayed due to a dispute and finally released in 1978–79. The Sambalpuri song was written by Mitrabhanu Gauntia, composed by Prabhudatta Pradhan and sung by Jitendra Haripal and Krishna Patel. In the 1970s and 1980s, the song gained popularity for being commonly played in marriage processions and Murti immersion. The song gained official recognition when it was played in the tableau of Odisha as part of the Republic Day celebrations at New Delhi in 2007. The lead singer Jitendra Haripal was also felicitated by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik later that year. It was also notably used in the celebration of victory during an international cricket match in Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. "Rangabati" was recreated in many other languages of India and has been recreated in Telugu for a movie.

Balunga Toka is a 2011 Indian Odia-language romantic comedy film directed by Sudhakara Basanta. The film stars Anubhav Mohanty and Barsha Priyadarshini as lead role. Balunga Toka was released on 2 October 2011. The film was commercially successful and became the highest-grossing Odia film of all time. It is a remake of the 2004 Tamil-Telugu bilingual film 7G Rainbow Colony. The film score was released by Amara Muzik.

<i>Abhaya</i> (film) 2017 Indian film

Abhaya (transl. Fearless) is an Odia action thriller film produced by Tarang Cine Productions. Anubhav Mohanty, Elina Samantray and Manoj Mishra are in the lead roles. Though this movie is a remake of 2013 Tamil movie Ivan Veramathiri, the key sequences of the screenplay were based on the Kannada movie Chakravyuha.
