Motahar Hossain (Indian politician)

Dr. Motahar Hossain was an Indian politician, belonging to the Indian National Congress. Hossain was born in Bhimpur, Birbhum District in May 1932, son of Korban Hossain. [1] He was a medical doctor by profession. [1]

He served as Minister of State for Home in the West Bengal government of Siddhartha Shankar Ray. [2] He died in Kolkata on 20 November 2011. [2]

Ahmed Hossain (1896–1961), Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Fisheries department in Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy's Cabinet 1946/47, Chairman of Rangpur District Board, Minister for Agriculture in East Pakistan in Abu Hossain Sarkar's cabinet 1955–56. Represented his Shagata and Fulchari constituency, of Gaibandha District as MLA and MP from 1937 to 1958.

Janab Tafazzal Hossain was an Indian politician. He lived in Naikunda village, Kharba, Malda District. He won the Kharba constituency seat in the 1952 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election, standing as an Indian National Congress candidate.

Mortoza Hossain is an Indian politician and doctor belonging to All India Trinamool Congress. He was elected as MLA of Vidhan Sabha Constituency in 1982 and 2006. He was a minister of West Bengal Government.
