The Filmfare Best Director Award is one of the main awards presented given by the annual Filmfare Awards to recognise directors working in Hindi cinema. It was first presented in 1954 in the inaugural year.

The war film stars Ashok Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Rekha, Rakesh Roshan, Farida Jalal, Sujit Kumar, Asrani, Keshto Mukherjee, Mumtaz Shanti and Rajesh Khanna. The music is by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The Hindustan Times noted that Rajesh Khanna in his extended guest appearance as the disabled Punjabi soldier with two emotional songs picturised on him was inspiring.

It stars Jeetendra, Reena Roy, Rameshwari and music composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The film is recorded as a "Blockbuster" at the box office. It was remade in Telugu as Anuraga Devatha (1982), in Tamil as Sumangali (1983) and in Bengali as Mandira (1990).

The film stars Rekha in the pivotal role along with Raj Babbar, Rakesh Roshan, Amol Palekar, Kanwaljit Singh and Simple Kapadia. The movie bridges the mainstream genre with Parallel Cinema. Rekha received a nomination for Filmfare Best Actress Award, the only nomination for the film and is credited with the film's box office success.
Man Mandir is a 1971 Bollywood drama film directed by Tapi Chanakya. The film stars Waheeda Rehman and Sanjeev Kumar. This was the first film signed and shot by Rakesh Roshan, although 'Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani' signed after this film was released before 'Man Mandir'. The music is by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

It stars Randhir Kapoor and Rekha, while Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor have special appearances and music was composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. The movie is loosely based on the 1984 Kannada movie Gandu Bherunda which in turn was inspired by the 1969 American film Mackenna's Gold.

It stars Jeetendra, Reena Roy, Rekha with music composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The film is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster movie Premabhishekam (1981), starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Sridevi, Jayasudha. Both the movies are made by the same banner and director. The Hindi film was a flop.

The film stars Jeetendra, Sridevi, Hema Malini, Moushumi Chatterjee and music composed by Bappi Lahiri. The film is a remake of Telugu movie Justice Chowdary (1982), which also stars Sridevi in the same role.
