The Motor Press Guild (MPG) is the largest professional automotive media association in North America. [1] This Los Angeles-based non-profit association is made up of professionals in motoring journalism and news media. Their goal is to promote education and information exchange within the motoring press. [2]

Members

Members include staff and freelance journalists, photographers, broadcasters, and similar media professionals, as well as public relations representatives from vehicle manufacturers, industry suppliers, aftermarket companies, consumer groups, governmental bodies and other motoring-related firms and organizations. There are currently around 750 members who work throughout many regions of the United States.[ citation needed ]

Activities

MPG is the bestower of the Dean Batchelor Award, an annual award which recognizes excellence in automotive journalism. The MPG is also the publisher of the MPG Membership Roster & Media Guide, a widely used annually published book which contains a comprehensive list of key industry contacts.

Paul Tan is a Malaysian motoring journalist. He is best known for his website, paultan.org or Paul Tan's Automotive News, a popular news portal which covers the Malaysian & ASEAN automotive scenes. Paultan.org is managed by Driven Communications Sdn. Bhd., a company in which Paul Tan assumes the role as a managing director. The website also offers reviews, previews, test drives and covers various other topics that are automotive-related.

The fourth-generation Toyota Prius is a compact car that was manufactured by Japanese automaker Toyota from 2015 to 2022. It was first shown during September 2015 in Las Vegas, and was released for retail customers in Japan on 9 December 2015. The launch in North American market occurred in January 2016, and February in Europe and the Middle East. Toyota expected to sell 12,000 fourth generation Prius cars a month in Japan, and to reach annual sales between 300,000 and 350,000 units.
