Mousumi Nag is a Bangladeshi model and actress. She made her media debut in the television drama Shure Akaa Chobi [1] in 2006, which was a commercial success. Since then, she has acted in 150 dramas and is now one of the most popular names in the Bangladeshi TV drama industry. She has also appeared in films. [2]

Career

Nag became most famous after playing a role in the film Run Out . [3] In this movie, she co-starred with another famous TV celebrity, Shajal Noor. The film was a success at the box office. She then acted in several Dhallywood films, including Feel My Love and many others. [4] [5] [6]

Personal life

Mousumi married Mithu Biswas in 2000 and changed her name to Mousumi Biswas. The couple has a son, Prithibi Biswas. Mousumi divorced Mithu and married Soeb Islam on 29 August 2013. This couple also has a son (aged 9). [7] On 10 March 2024, she gave birth to a daughter. [8]

The film is set in the early 1900s and follows Shakib Khan as Devdas Mukherjee, a wealthy law graduate who returns from Calcutta after 13 years to marry his childhood sweetheart, Paro, played by Apu Biswas. However, the rejection of this marriage by his own family sparks his descent into alcoholism, ultimately leading to his emotional deterioration and him seeking refuge with a courtesan, Chandramukhi, played by Moushumi.

Arifa Pervin Zaman, known by her stage name Moushumi, is a Bangladeshi film actress and director. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress three times for her roles in Meghla Akash (2001), Devdas (2013) and Taarkata (2014). She has acted in over 150 films and made her directorial debut with Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2003).
