Moye Kolodin (born 5 May 1987 in Freiburg, West Germany) is a German classical pianist.
Kolodin received his very first piano lessons at the age of seven from his mother Elza Kolodin. Kolodin won the first prize and the Sparkasse prize for Outstanding Young Talents at the Jugend Musiziert competition five years later. [1] In 1999, he enrolled at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, and continued his musical studies there under the tutelage of Elza Kolodin until 2006.
Kolodin participates regularly in the Master Classes of many world-renowned professors, whose names include Vitaly Margulis, Hans Leygraf, Jacques Rouvier, Dmitri Bashkirov, Joaquín Soriano and Vera Gornostayeva.[ citation needed ] Internationally he has won awards at the "Ciutat de Carlet" and "Vila de Capdepera" competitions in Spain, the Associazione "Fryderyk Chopin's 14th Concorso Internationale per Giovani Pianisti" in 2004 in Rome, the first prize at the "Concours International de Piano de Brest" in France in 2005, and the Grand Prix at the "Evangelia Tjiarri Foundation" International Piano Competition in Larnaka, Cyprus in March 2006.[ citation needed ] In May that same year, he was also presented with the European cultural award "Pro Europa" at the Paul Klee Zentrum in Bern, Switzerland.
Kolodin enjoys frequent engagements with various ensembles and orchestras such as the Schlesischen Philharmonie Kattowitz, the Landesjugendorchester Baden-Württemberg, [1] the Capella Bydgostiensis and Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, with whom he has performed concerti by Mozart, Liszt and Brahms and a lot of other engagements. [2] [3] [4] [5] His playing constantly receives glowing reviews from local press, [6] who have praised him for his "phenomenal mastery", "amazing talent", "breathtaking playing" and "soaring at the piano" and have described him as "a musical exceptionality" and "a genius and poet". As a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes, Kolodin has been a student of Jacques Rouvier at the Conservatoire Superieur de Musique de Paris since Fall 2006.[ citation needed ]

It was formerly the home of Bundesliga team SC Freiburg between 1954 and 2021, until a new stadium — the Europa-Park Stadion — was built in October 2021. The stadium holds 24,000 spectators and was built in 1953. It is situated near the Dreisam river, for which it is named.

The Freiburg–Colmar railway was an international railway that formerly connected Freiburg im Breisgau, in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, with Colmar, in the French department of Haut-Rhin. The line crossed the river Rhine on a bridge between Breisach and Neuf-Brisach. Since that bridge was destroyed in 1945, the line from Freiburg has terminated at Breisach, and this stretch of line is now commonly called the Freiburg–Breisach railway, or the Breisacherbahn. The section from Freiburg to Breisach was completed in 1871 and the remainder in 1878.
The Carl-Schurz-Haus, a German-American Institute, was founded in 1952 as Amerika-Haus in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. It has operated since the 1960s as a binational cultural center. It annually offers about 250 events on transatlantic topics, at which those interested in societal exchange can engage in conversations with German and American experts and artists. In addition to offering concerts and English film series, the institute houses an American library with more than 20,000 titles as well as a student advisory service for German pupils interested in extended stays in the U.S. Carl-Schurz-Haus also organizes a diverse range of English courses, taught by native English speakers, for children, teenagers, and adults. Several organizations utilize Carl-Schurz-Haus as a meeting place, including the Freiburg-Madison-Gesellschaft, an association that supports relationships with Freiburg's sister city Madison in the U.S.; the German American Business Community in Baden; a quilting club; the writing workshop Freiburg Writers’ Group; and a square dancing club called Dreisam Swingers. At the end of 2016, members of the institute totaled about 1,660 people. Friederike Schulte has been the director of Carl-Schurz-Haus since 2010, while the chairman of the board is currently attorney-at-law Gerhard Manz.

The Zelt-Musik-Festival (ZMF) has taken place every June and July since 1983 in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. It lasts three weeks and counts up to 120,000 visitors each year. The program is very broad. There is music, art, theater, cabaret and sport in different tents and on open-air stages. According to the organizer it is the biggest and oldest music festival in Baden-Württemberg. Over the years, more than 600 regional and international artists offered a diverse program consisting of classic, jazz, rock, pop and world music, cabaret and children's program. Also, many newcomers have been promoted.
Müllheim (Baden) station is a small railway junction in Müllheim in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, where the Müllheim–Mulhouse railway branches off the Mannheim–Karlsruhe–Basel railway. From 1896 to 1955, the station was the terminus of the tramway-like Müllheim-Badenweiler railway.
The Müllheim–Mulhouse railway is a 22.140 km-long single-track railway, crossing the Upper Rhine between Baden, Germany and Alsace, France. The whole line is electrified with catenary, using different national electrification standards on either side of the Rhine. It branches off the Rhine Valley Railway (Rheintalbahn) in Müllheim and it connects with the Paris–Mulhouse railway and the Strasbourg–Basel railway in Mulhouse.
